Figure Review: Tohsaka Rin the Noble Maid

As the figures keep coming in the mail, as do the figure photography posts. Though this figure review is a little different to other figure reviews, and with good reason. So hit the jump to find out the reason why and check out my latest photos of Fantasy Noble Maid, Tohasaka Rin from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia.

Bamboo Blade - 05

With 4 girls ont he kendo team now, I thought we were close to having a full team, but then suddenly the practice match is already underway. I must say this occurs much faster than I thought it would, but this works out just as good. It gets it out of the way which will make for more story after the practice match, plus we get to see some more kendo action from Tamaki.

Wangan Midnight - 06

YES! A group has finally decided to pick up Wangan Midnight, so I’m back to my regular scheduled posting of Wangan Midnight. This episode, we finally see Kitami’s role in the series, but we’re also seeing Ishida being more involved now. I had a feeling that Ishida would ask Kitmai to tune his car, despite the stories that he heard about Kitami being the tuner from hell. He probably didn’t think too much of the dangers involved with Kitami’s tuning as he feels that he is going to die soon anyway.

Da Capo II - 05

Despite not being much of a Koko fan, I found this to be the most enjoyable and pleasant episode so far. Probably because it’s just the conventional “date” episode, plus I’m a sucker for all those romantic things you see in anime series. Though the most enjoyable part of this episode I would have to say is seeing Koko and Yoshiyuki being all embarrassed when ever they tried to get closer together, but moreso finding out Yoshiyuki is weak with the romantic kind of movie, as he didn’t seem to be that type of person.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 25

Continuing on with Hayate no Gotoku, I’m a little surprised at how this episode played out. It covers pretty much exactly how the manga is, but I get the feeling it’s missing something. Also I’m relatively sure this is the part where Hayate declares himself as a combat butler as well, but even at this point, with him declaring as the protector of Nagi, we can only imagine to see more and more people come after the Sanzenin estate. Though I don’t think we’ll see too much of that happening just yet.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 24

WAY behind in my watching of Hayate, but I haven’t given up on it just yet. Anyway this episode starts to cover one of my favourite parts of the manga mainly because I’m an Isumi fan. She hasn’t had much screen time in the past few episodes, but it’s nice to see that we’re finally back on track with the manga, and especially this arc. Isumi confesses her love for Hayate, and this of course causes a ripple of events with Hayate and Nagi.

ef - a tale of memories - 04

Usually around this point of a series it should start getting interesting, especially if it’s only slated for 12 episodes. And with episode 4, it’s only starting to show the more interesting parts. Firstly with Chihiro and Renji, quite a development for them this episode especially with the two of them finally confessing their love for each other, but what I found fascinating was the fact that Chihiro felt so different from yesterday and today. The memory loss is a part of it, but the way she is so confused about herself in terms of love is pretty dramatic in it’s own sense. Although Renji is pushing for Chihiro to write a novel, I wonder what this would accomplish. For someone like Chihiro, dreams almost mean nothing if she can’t remember the previous day. I think that Renji sees the writing a novel is a way for him to connect with Chihiro, just like how the diary connects Chihiro from yesterday, to Chihiro from today. But now that they have confessed to each other, it does make me curious on how this plays out, and IF it’ll lead to some kind of cure to Chihiro’s memory loss, but I really doubt that.
