So once again, Hayate has gone back to being somewhat fillerish after last episode’s little development. Although I didn’t mind this episode as I tend to enjoy watching episodes that circle around Ayumu as I find her to be pretty cute. With this episode focusing around amnesia, I figured that we would get an episode like this sometime in the series as it’s a pretty standard story, but I do find it funny how Hayate was just acting as if he had amnesia because I wouldn’t have found it as funny.
As many of you are aware, last weekend I managed to get my Noir boxset autographed by Kajiura Yuki, and that she was in Sydney for the A Night in Fantasia 2007 Anime Edition concert. You may also remember that I mentioned something of a little surprise. Well the surprise was that I was asked to take photos of the concert as a media photographer! That’s right. Last episode we saw quite a development, but right now, it’s kind of slowed down once again. We’re once again back to the same routine of seeing Renji and Chihiro talking, but then she does have a memory disorder. However I think the only interesting part this entire episode was Chihiro’s comparison of herself to the sheep in her math problem. I found it to be a pretty good analogy of her situation where her mindset is always at the point where she got into the accident, and the length of 13 hours is the reach of her arm. I guess you could see it as her arm reaches out to 13 hours, before pulling it back, thus resetting time again.

Well we’re definitely in full swing of the Fuko arc, and the laughs keep coming. The whole Tomoya switching with Ryou was just hilarious, but I find it pretty cute how Ryou was getting embarrassed as she kept up the act. Though seeing Kyou’s sudden appearance and wanting to punish Tomoya makes me wonder if she has a ever so watchful eye over her sister. What I do hope in some way is that they develop a story with Kyou’s arc and explain why she is over-protective of Ryou, but then, it could just be the whole sisterly-love thing. Other funny and cute moments include Nagisa getting embarrassed about the thought of Tomoya as her boyfriend, and how Fuko used the Isogai surname and Tomoya rushing out.
Normally I would only do 1 figure photo shoot at a time, but given the opportunity to use a better lens than the standard one, I managed to get a second one done the same day as the Tohsaka Rin photo shoot. Also since the day this figure arrived, I’ve wanted to do something special for it, something a little more drastic than what I have normally done with my outdoor figure photography sessions. Today I thought that I finally had the chance to sit at home and relax, especially after a somewhat stressful week at work. However that was not the case as I made a trip down into Sydney, and for good reason. Yuki Kajiura was going to be at Kinokuniya for an autograph session. Now I wouldn’t exactly say that I’m a big fan of hers, but I have enjoyed the music she has composed for a number of series such as Noir, the .hack series, Tsubasa Chronicle, and Kimagure Orange Road. Still, it’s not often that we get to see such a special guest here in Australia, so I took this chance to head down there, and return home with this:
I for one enjoyed Noir greatly, and it just so happens that this Noir boxset is also the first DVD boxset that I completed when I began my venture to the Otaku side of the Force. So having this autographed by Yuki Kajiura makes it that much more special to me. Though I bet some of you are asking why she is here in Sydney. Well it just so happens that this weekend is also Eminence’s A Night in Fantasia 2007, which I will be attending tomorrow as well. It will also be my first time attending an Eminence concert so I’m not sure on what to expect, but rest assured, you will be surprised about a little something which I’ll mention later.
Also to note, I also turned down a photography job with my photography boss to attend this autograph session. I do feel kind of bad turning down the job as he likes working with me. I brought the shiny camera hoping to get a photo with Yuki Kajiura, but upon arrival, I was told that photos weren’t allowed, uguu~~~ Since it was also a trip to Kinokuniya, I didn’t walk away empty handed:
It’s a manga called Nusunde Lilth, and I have absolutely no idea on what it’s about. The second volume was in the New Release section of Japanese manga and I just so happened to get it, and went searching for the first volume which I also found. This was bought on a random whim, and I just found the coverart to be cute. But you know how it goes, being random is the best!

A day out with the cats has always been a treat in Aria, but here in Sketchbook, it has taken that one step further, this time the cats can talk! I’ve always wondered what it would be like to hear Aria-shachou, Hime-shachou and Maa-kun talking amongst themselves, but personally I think Mike, Haa, and Kuma have given us something much more than what Aria and company can offer. Seeing the world through the perspective of the cats is indeed intriguing, and to add it on top, it’s actually quite funny.
