Halfway through the series already and we once again have an episode focused on my least favourite character. So far we’ve had more character development on Koko and Minatsu than any of the other girls in the series, which annoys me to no end. However there is still some enjoyment to be found in this episode and that is seeing Minatsu in a different light. I myself usually overlook the fact that Minatsu is a robot, but in this episode, we see things through her eyes and we see a deeper reason to why she hates humans. She feels that humans were holding her back when she was created, and she still feels that that hasn’t change over the time that she has been asleep.

Impressions
Though I do admire Yoshiyuki for trying to convince her the basis of friendship and that not all humans are the same, and he proves that even further of when Minatsu actually goes over to Yoshiyuki’s house for dinner, and sees how Sakura and Yume treat her as if she was already a friend. Anyway, I do wonder why we’re seeing so much development on Minatsu, unless she’ll be playing a more prominent role towards the end of the series. But given the basis of her story so far, it seems very hard to see such a thing occurring.
It is kind of surprising to see how much faith Koko has in Yoshiyuki, especially since he shrugged her off without telling her the reason why. But an interesting point is how Nanaka questions Koko about Yoshiyuki being faithful as well. Perhaps something will happen in the Nanaka episode? As for the Asakura sisters, it’s kind of scary knowing that Yume has inherited Nemu’s inability to cook food. But it’s a tradition for the Da Capo series, but still, I want to see more Otome!
