Normally I would only do 1 figure photo shoot at a time, but given the opportunity to use a better lens than the standard one, I managed to get a second one done the same day as the Tohsaka Rin photo shoot. Also since the day this figure arrived, I’ve wanted to do something special for it, something a little more drastic than what I have normally done with my outdoor figure photography sessions. Hit the jump to find out where this photo shoot has taken me.
A bit about the figure itself first. Horiuchi Sana is a a character from the h-game Pia Carrot ni Youkoso!! G.O Personally I have never played the game, but that doesn’t mean I can enjoy the girls from the game. This figure of Sana is from the second production run, and it’s a good thing I ordered it, because she is hot stuff. Though the decision to buy this was after seeing her in the flesh, way back when I first met icie and Windbell. icie just so happened to bring Sana along and we practiced taking photos. That’s when I decided to get one.
Upon a glance, really, nothing could describe what this figure is about. There’s just a mixture of cuteness and sexyness, and a bit of teasing all rolled into one. There’s just so much eye candy to Sana that I think I may get cavities from all that sweetness. Every single part of Sana has been detailed in the hopes that nothing has been missed, and from my inspections, nothing has. Sculptor Ogawa Youzo has done an extremely well done job on getting every bit of detail such as the frills on her dress and corset, the lacing patterns on Sana’s leggings, and Sana’s overall body frame.
One of the most appealing aspects of Sana is her costume. She is dressed as a waitress, but cosplaying as a devil girl at the same time. Adding on top that she is such a cutie as well, it sandwiches two fetishes into one. Her pose is also a very alluring one which draws your attention even closer. The way she is kneeling with her shoulders arched back, pushing her breasts forward, and how she is stretching the strap of her panties, she is just astounding. Although the way she has her left arm bending back like that is a little un-natural, and in fact looks a little painful.
Sana is also a figure that is asking for a removable skirt, and boy is there a slight surprise when that skirt is removed. From any angle, you would have never guessed that Sana is actually pulling on her panties. Upon removing the skirt, she is just taken to another level, and any higher (or should I say lower?), it’d probably become illegal. Sana also comes with an interchangeable chest piece so you can change the amount of cleavage she is showing. It was actually a hard choice to choose which one as both of them look good, but in the end, I chose the alternate one.

For a Kotobukiya product, I am simply amazed at the level of quality of Sana. This was originally released WAY back in January of this year, and back then I considered Kotobukiya to be a hit or miss with their figure releases, well it still kind of is, but with more hits. Every little detail about Sana hasn’t been skipped, and visually I can’t see any flaws. There is just so many cute aspects about Sana like her costume, where it even comes with little devil wings, her hair is in twintail format, but she also has such long bangs, the sculpt of her face fits well with her hair style and feels balanced.
Hands down this is a great figure, and even if you’ve never heard of the Pia Carrot series, this is a figure that’ll win you over.

Photography Notes
As you may have guessed from the photos, Sana was photographed at a table. But more specifically at a table in one of the busiest cafes at Cockle Bay Wharf. That’s right. I did a figure photo shoot right in the middle of a cafe. The cafe here is the Lindt cafe situated in Cockle Bay Wharf, which is the same location as the Mizunashi Akari figure. However I was not alone when I was doing this photo shoot. My friend Bubby had accompanied with me as we sat outside. Of course we had to order drinks else we weren’t allowed to just sit there.
Plenty of people watching what I was doing, even the workers from Lindt cafe were watching me as I did the usual thing. But when it came time to remove the skirt, Bubby had to look away in shame, lol. Since this was taken the same day as the Tohsaka Rin maid figure, I was still using the 28-135mm lens. But these turned out better as I switched back to auto focusing whilst still doing it in manual mode, but we also just caught the sun setting behind the buildings, giving us a perfect amount of lighting.
No full proper background shots this time, simply because I didn’t want people to be in the background without their consent. So the whole idea of photographing Sana at a cafe just didn’t work out. But I can definitely say, this is the MOST daring and MOST public location I have ever photographed a figure at. Not to mention it’s a rather erotic figure at that.

What?! No Chocolate Milkshake on Figure? :p
Figure shoots at a cafe are pretty alright I guess. I want to try doing a shoot just below a office building in the future. They have some nice architecture.
This shoot was pretty bad for me with all those eyes staring… ;_;
you are pretty brave.
These photos look much better in comparison with the Rin
but some of these are pretty bright…I cant make out how many fingers she has in a couple of them :/
It’s still a great figure nonetheless…
Got a lot of attention huh lol, taking it in public like that is very daring ^^. She does look like a good figure to add to my collection, if I see her around I might buy her. The sexy and sweet mix is so moe lol.
I don’t see why people keep saying that her arm being bent more than 180 degrees is odd, at least to me it isn’t since I know a few people like that. Anyways, really nice fig, surprised you had the courage to remove her skirt there lol.
The Cafe is definitely a nice place to take photos of Sana. Now that I have tried taking pics outdoor, kinda know how it feels with people looking at you ^^. Oh yeah removing her skirt in public must have taken a lot of courage
Oh how daring, the location.
nice location ^^;
I say that this set has sharper pictures than Rin pictures, auto focus for the win ^^
Windbell: Not for this one. Didn’t want to ruin her by making her all sticky…..err now that just sounds wrong, lol.
Bubby: Hey hey, you also took photos of her! True about some photos being too bright. It happens when the amount of sunlight randomly changes all the time.
AS: It’s a very nice figure, buy one if you can find her.
Hijiko: Really? I’ve never seen anyone being able to bend their arm like that. Removing the skirt isn’t a big issue, it’s all for the sake of photography!
valho: Although it was at a cafe, I didn’t even get any background shots.
Jacky: Will you become brave enough to do the same thing?
ron~: The Rin was more of an experimental session since I was using a different lens. Plus I put effort into this session, lol.
Mmmm…dairy products and waitress/demon girls. I always give you 2 on the braveness factor. Most people can’t bend their arms like that, but that said, one of my friends likes to bend their arms and fingers to impossible levels just to freak people out.
Oh yeah, and these did come out a better, especially the color.
Haha and you sure have choosen one of your most erotic figure to take pictures in a very public place ^^
Great job! xD
super rats: Only a 2 on the braveness?? Anyway I do find people who can bend their arms like that a little freaky. It’s just not normal!
lu-k: Well better this one than one of the other figures in the backlog……
XD
You managed to do it!
I was trying to find a place for my Sana photos, but I’m not a cafe person so I didn’t really look around that much.
Great photos again, I love the one with the drink in front of her, and the skirtless shots make me giggle inside :3
Can imagine how awkward it must be when u have to undress the figure for photoshot and people staring at what you’re doing to the figure.
Aya Kyunik: Cafes is only one of many places that I would like to take photos. But some places are quite public and sometimes off limits to the general public. I would’ve preferred to take photos of Sana inside the cafe, but photography wasn’t allowed inside.
Fisherman Horizon: Well this would have to the most sexiest figure that I have taken outside, but it wasn’t all that bad.
