I think a lot of my lack of enjoyment came from the shifting of events and reveals to keep teenage-smoking out of the anime. Another problem I have is that Sayako is presented as a complete spaz, instead of a girl who attacks projects with burning rage before she quickly gives up on them. I’m enjoying Bamboo Blade, but this episode really didn’t hit it for me.
