I too had my own skepticism about watching 00 after seeing Seed. So when I actually enjoyed watching the first episode I decided I would keep watching until its over or I'm disappointed enough to drop it. GS and GSD slowly got that emo feeling in every episode; Gundam 00 however has a slightly of not significantly difference feeling to it. Very refreshing! Episode 02 however, somewhat goes back to the "emo" side. You'll see what I mean if you haven't already.
