Impressions
I don’t know how but I missed getting the raw for this but I finally got around to watching it. Blue Drop was one of the series that I looked forward to seeing as it looked to be very interesting. At this point, it still does look interesting. The first half of this episode is mainly introductions, but once Mari met Hagino, it started to get interesting once Hagino started to choke Mari. Although Mari isn’t on good terms with Hagino now, the two of them will become close together once they know about each other and find that their pasts are linked.
Gonzo is in charge of production, and they’ve done an excellent job. I’ve noticed over this year that Gonzo has improved in their animation production quality and I can definitely see Blue Drop being excellent throughout. However watching this in a low resolution format kind of ruined the whole awesome animation of the show, so I’m hoping someone will release a HD version of this.
It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out in terms of the Mari and Hagino’s friendship as well as their pasts. So far I’m liking the series so far and I’ll continue to watch a few more episodes to see if it gets any better. Though this series I won’t be blogging.
I just watched this today. Havn’t been follwoin it in any other format. Seems interesting enough.

Seriously, am I the only person that’s commented on how Hagino looks like Pino in that last screenshot?
Still, the character designs and animation are reason enough for me to continue watching this - although the character design for the lolis is faintly reminiscent of Gunslinger Girl. Ep 2 subs and space lesbian plox D:
