Impressions

When I first looked at the season preview list, I didn’t have very high expectations of Night Wizard. After watching the first episode, I can gladly say that my expectations came true. This was really boring to watch and I can’t believe I managed to watch this at all. The action scenes were bland, the characters don’t seem that interesting, the animation isn’t there either. Funny that since the animation for this show is done by Hal Film Maker, who is also doing Sketch Book. Goes to show where most of the budget went to, which is a good thing.

Although this is based off an RPG, I’m not the kind of person who likes anime series based on RPGs. Actually the only anime I can recall at the moment that is close to this would be Ragnorak The Animation, and that was just painful. However Night Wizard does have it’s redeeming points in which there is a story, which I have no idea what it’s about, and a loli who’ll only give you the choice of “hai” or “yes”. But these won’t be enough to keep me interested in watching this so this is definitely on the not to watch list.
