Moé Moé Rabu

Everyone loves a good swimsuit episode, well I know I do but more so with this episode. Plenty of fanservice to keep the fans happy, but for me, the swimming pool arc is actually one of my favourite parts of the game. Although there are major differences in the game and the anime, it still shows us the underlying tension that is happening between Makoto and Sekai, however in the game at this point, it was more Sekai than Makoto. In this episode I’d say that they balanced it out quite well.

Impressions

Now there’s no point in saying how much I hate Makoto, most of the anime fans hate him already. But it’s now at an interesting point of the story in which Makoto has finally come to realise his true feelings for Sekai. Although I see it that his feelings towards Sekai were merely because of their “practice”, Makoto did bring up a valid point in which he can be himself when he is with Sekai. So he wins brownie points for that remark. Kotonoha at this point is just clueless about what is happening at the moment but I think she’s starting to see the hints. Her quick response to Taisuke’s comment of her and Makoto being a couple shows that she is changing and that she is confident in their relationship.

One certain surprise was Hikari’s crush on Taisuke, as in the game there really wasn’t any indication of such a development, but then I never really got through her story. But it is a nice addition to the story, though I don’t think we’ll see more on it. But anyway, now that Makoto has confessed to Sekai but more so his relationship with Sekai has just taken to a new level, I wonder what will happen now with Kotonoha, or more importantly, what will she do when she finds out. Things have definitely gotten interesting.
