Moé Moé Rabu

Well its been quite some time since we last saw Wataru and Saki have some airtime, so it’s a nice change to see that majority of this episode focused on them. Although not only that, we also get a little background on Saki, which is nice and all since this is the kind of series where stuff like that doesn’t really matter. But still, she has a pretty awesome grandmother.

Impressions

Some other funny surprises was Maria being scared out of her wits because of a cockroach, but then this is a bloody human sized one, even I’d get the shivers. Throughout the episode, I found all of Maria’s reactions the funniest, even though these parts were to fill in the gaps of the story. What I found interesting was how Hayate’s Butler Kick was drained by the pendant that he is wearing. A little strange as the pendant wasn’t really brought up after Hayate received it in the manga (well from where I’ve read upto), so perhaps they are shedding some light on what the pendant is about?

Wataru I think was pretty manly in thinking that he should buy Saki’s present with his own money. It goes to show that he does care for Saki and that she is more than just his maid. Though I did find it amusing how Wataru could do things better than Saki. But yeah, so we’re slightly back on track with the manga, but seems next episode is another anime original? Doesn’t seem very familiar in the manga but that doesn’t matter.

Just as a small note, I also read a few weeks ago that Hayate no Gotoku is possibly slated for 50 episodes. I’m just think “Wow, that’s a lot of Hayate” but I’m not complaining. The more the better, but still, whether it’ll still be worth blogging is a different issue but if it does go over 26 episodes, I’ll still continue blogging it. It’d be nice to cover a series that went for a whole year.
