Doujin Work – 05

Misinterpretation is always a humour point in anime, and so it continues on throughout the episode with Justice’s ever so watchful eye over Najimi. But of course Tsuyuri is there to fan the flames and make Justice delve deeper into his own little world. Thus this entire episode surrounds Justice and his somewhat deluded beliefs of Najimi going to a love hotel with Hoshi.

It is somewhat funny seeing someone as cool as Justice going a little crazy. But of course, this can only go on for so long before it gets boring. I can see it being a running gag throughout the series but from this point, I can’t really see anything new popping up that’ll keep me interested in this series. At the start of the episode, Najimi speaks of a rival, which I was hoping to see develop here, but they went with Justice’s over protectiveness. But at least there were small random bits to break it up.

So yeah, animation is looking pretty crap this time around, and screen capping this in 720p doesn’t make it any better. The gags are making me give a “heh” rather than a “ha” and I do hope they pick up with the humour soon, else I’m thinking of dropping this. Still, given that it’s only 15 minutes, I can’t expect too much, but the only person that makes this worth watching is Tsuyuri with her mischievous nature. I’ll give this a few more episodes before deciding.

I agree that the few gags thats get me a “heh” are the misinterpretations which is why I keep watching. I got a bit of a “hah” when Najimi kept messing up on inking and freaked Justice out. I myself am getting bored of the series, but I still love the ending theme song and a bit of the opening as well.
