After a whole 17 episodes, we finally reach the beach episode. Given the usualy high amounts of fanservice in most beach episodes and the track record Hayate no Gotoku has had, I found this to be good on the eyes, but a rather bland episode. Sure there were some funny bits, but I found myself laughing at more the stupid minor things like Klaus and Tama snoring away whilst everyone is playing around or being manipulated by Schmidt.

Impressions
Although Hinagiku wasn’t in this episode, definitely plenty of nice shots of her that randomly appear throughout the episode. Hayate’s quote on screen cappers paying more attention is damn true as I wanted more Hinagiku shots, but we also get a fair share of the other girls as well. Now we don’t normally see Nagi in many cute forms, but this screencap of her has got to be the most cutest of her to date.
Well plenty of anime references in this episode but it’s mainly a lot of mecha ones that I usually can’t recognise. Still, nice to see SynergSP are still going strong with some of the references being done and that we’re not seeing the same stuff reused too often. So next episode we’re back to the manga stories and Wataru and Saki finally get some screen time again. Looks like next episode will be about Saki’s birthday.

All of the Hinagiku screen shots were cute, it was funny how they mentioned in the anime that screen shooters might have a hard time with taking a shot of her due to the quick revealing of Hinagiku.
Though I do admit, it Hinagiku did tag along with them for the beach class, we wouldn’t get all of those screen shots.
