Doujin Work – 03

August 1, 2007 | Author: | In: Anime Blogs, Doujin Work

So Najimi has finally created her first erotic doujinshi, thinking she’ll be making millions. I wish the world would work like that, lol. But like everyone starting from somewhere, it turns out to be pretty crap, and her good friends Tsuyuri and Justice just couldn’t bring themselves to tell her. Though honestly, just from looking at the front cover, I wouldn’t be able to tell if it was an erotic doujinshi or not. However from my experience at Comiket, you can never judge a book by it’s cover.

In the end, Najimi did end up selling one copy of her doujin, and with her being ecstatic as she was, I can somewhat relate to when I first started this blog and got the first few comments by people other than the ones I know in real life. However I did find it amusing that the surrounding otakus hurried over after hearing Najimi yell out sexual harassment, and would only buy her doujin on the belief that she will hug them.

At first I thought it wouldn’t happen, but it did. The animation in this just crapped out at parts of this episode. I do hope that it won’t go on for the rest of the series, but I also hope that it’ll be a bit more interesting and more funnier in the later episodes. This episode I found not be as entertaining as the last two episodes. Though at least in this episode we are introduced to a possible love interest and a doujin artist rival.

Also as a small note, I realised a friend of mine is somewhat similar to Najimi in which he is planning on selling some artwork at the upcoming conventions in Sydney, but at least he can draw better than Najimi. Funny I can find things in anime that relate to my real life, lol.

Yeah, the animation quality really felt like it dropped off a cliff to me too…but hopefully it’s just an aberration. Justice getting the wrong idea was pretty funny, but it felt like they just flogged that one joke for all it was worth this episode, I didn’t laugh as much as I did during the first two eps either. Still, at least it’s so short I don’t feel like I wasted any time watching it.

It was funny when Justice punched the wall, super-human strength lol; not just tall. I know how you feel about the comment thing, it made my day lol…it still does ^-^. I’m currently d/l episode 4, hoping it’s better than 3.

suguru: Too true about the joke dragging on. I guess it’s one way to fill in the 15 minutes.

AS: Appears to be more to Justice than a regular guy in a suit, lol.

I’m enjoying the anime, slightly different from the manga but still enjoyable.
The 4th ep is also pretty nice, I’m loving the fact that Najimi is slowly sinking into the otaku world.
Justice on the other hand, felt more expressive in the manga. Though, still getting my kicks from this series~

I personally thought that Doujin Work never really had good animation to begin with.

Though, the idea is fresh and something I have never seen before so I’ll keep watching.

Plus that slapping scene had me laughing. Dunno why but it was strangely hilarious.
