Yes! Moé Moé Rabu has finally reached the 100,000 visitors mark. Though it probably hit this some time ago as I didn’t add the Site Meter until November last year, but that is also around the time Moé Moé Rabu started. So only 9 months, not so bad. But of course, I couldn”t have reached this stage without my dear readers. So thank you all for reading my blog and I hope you continue to do so.
So it’s been a good 9 weeks since I started the new job and things have been flat out since Day 1. For those who don’t know, I’m currently a web developer working in a small dev shop specializing in Adobe ColdFusion. So how much have I learnt about it? Sweet fuck all, lol. A good reason as well. When I first started, I was doing an online training course for ColdFusion until the boss started allocating me work. So the training has come to a halt and I’m thrown into the deep end.
Lucky me I got allocated the task of database work for a few major projects, and that’s all I”ve been doing for the past 7 weeks. At least the benefit is that I know more database and SQL than my fellow new-comers. But I can see now that being in the daily grind, my free time was just obliterated. But I still make time at nights for anime and socialising with friends, online and offline. But of course, with a steady income, let’’s just say my HLJ list went from a low 6 items to something I haven”t seen since my last Japan trip.
All in all, life is good. Working away learning more about web development, spending more on otaku goods, and having my night-life back! But now that we leaving Winter have entered into the convention time of the year for Sydney, looking forward to those as well as some more photography work. Also I plan to make some business cards for me to hand out during conventions thanks to a suggestion by a friend. Things are going to get busy for the next month or so.

Now this is news that I like waking up to. A 3rd season of ARIA, ARIA the ORIGINATION, is going to be announced in Mag Garden’s Comic Blade October edition, which I may go and buy. Apparently the series has been in production since spring but no air date ahas been set. Director will be once again Sato Junichi and the staff will be mainly composed of those who worked on the OVA.
Although it is a third season, I’m overly joyed to hear this, but begin to wonder which parts of the manga that they will cover. Of course there is plenty of material to use, but with the title called “ORIGINATION” makes me wonder if they will take a look at the beginning chapters of ARIA or even from AQUA of when Akari first comes to Neo-Venezia. Well something to look forward to and to keep my ARIA passion burning! Definitely something I’ll blog.

Tonight was a little unexpected event, a lunar eclipse! Luckily for me that Sydney weather has had some clear skies and that it’s warming up, had a clear view of the lunar eclipse and I couldn’t resist taking a photo or two.

This was the only decent one that turned out as I really don’t have the proper equipment for long exposure photography like this. Though I’m still surprised at how this one turned out. If I had awesome skills at Photoshop, I’d fix it up a bit more, but alas I don’t.

One of the failure shots, but I’ll post it anyway. Though it still looks good in a sense. Shows that the Earth is moving! There is one thing I hope to try one day, a photograph that Kohei from Tsukuyomi Moonphase did with Hazuki. For those who have watched Tsukuyomi Moonphase should know what I’m talking about but if not, then here is the picture.

The effect is that the subject is standing still, and with a VERY LOOOOOOOOONG exposure, you can capture the stars moving. Although I know it’s impossible to get something like this done, but I want to try something similar. One day I will, one day…..

Ah yes, the final volume. It’s nice to know that for a 24 episode series, it’s only 8 DVDs. Recently I think Japanese DVDs have been getting more episodes and more material unlike when I was purchasing the Japanese DVDS of AIR TV. 13 episodes over the span of 6 DVDs. But at last, I’ve reached the end of the road for my Kanon DVD collection, and with Kanon licensed for an English release…..God damn it.

Funny with this, I totally forgot to order it before the release date as I was too swamped with work to remember to do most things. Still, I did end up buying it and scanned the covers for those who were patient. Not that anyone will want to download them as I’m sure you got them from other places by now. Matters not, read on to check out the scans and for the download link.

Although Noizi Ito’s KA·E·N was the very first thing I saw at Kinokuniya last week, I wasn’t satisfied in only just getting that. And of course, being with my good friends Roobar and Blox, doesn”t help that Roobar and I usually try to best each other in the amount we buy. Over the past few times I’ve been to Kinokuniya, I’ve been eyeing this one artbook that I”ve wanted for quite some time and I thought this was the perfect time to purchase it: Tanemura Arina’s Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne artbook.

After last week’s attendance to SMASH, I headed off to Kinokuniya since it has been well over 5 weeks since I last went there, so surely there was something for me to buy there. I didn’t buy anything at SMASH since nothing tickled my fancy, but I had the urge to throw my money at something. Skipping the manga section, I usually head to the artbook section first just to see what there is, and I was pleased to see Noizi Ito’s 2nd artbook collection, KA·E·N.
