Opening Sequence:

Ending Sequence:

ED: “Suki? Kirai!? Suki!!!” by Kugimiya Rie

So we’re finally in gear for the second season of Zero no Tsukaima and I must say, it doesn’t displease. It’s good to see all the tsundereness of Louise and the pervertedness of Saito, though I feel that in this episode, they made him more perverted than usual. But of course that simply adds to the humour of the show. It’s also good to see some of the old characters returning and including some new ones which will be a welcome change to the series.

With this being the 3rd series animated by JC Staff this season, it appears that they have improved the animation over the first season and it’s a sign that it’ll definite be of high quality. Given that this season is only 12 episodes I don’t see that being too hard. But now that this is only 12 episodes, the story I imagine will start moving faster as they’ve already shown that there are new enemies and that a war is coming.

The OP I find upbeat and catchy, though I think I’ll have to listen to it more before I can say that I like it or not. The ED I’m not a big fan on as with Kugimiya Rie you can hear the tsundereness in her voice when she sings. Although the ending sequence matches the song and is pretty funny to watch.

Thus the return of Zero no Tsukaima is indeed welcome, and I would like to see the story progress towards the war part as I know the light novels get darker later on, though I doubt that we’ll be getting to those parts given the 12 episodes constraint. So a definite watch for me this season, but I won’t blog this as there’s a whole bunch of other bloggers who’ll cover this faster than me.

I didn’t realise how excited i was untill i was actually watching this, ZnT’s return is indeed welcomed. I have to agree with you that the OP is very catchy, although i still prefer the OP of the 1st season.
