Nijihara Ink is a high school girl, who is so small she looks to be in elementary school, and dreams of being in a relationship with Tezuka Nao. One day, she comes across a talking duck, Arks Shelbart Elbayas, who is actually from a magical world. So he turns her into a magical girl so she can help teach Nao english.

Impressions
One of many shows that I was looking forward to in the Summer season was none other than Moetan. With the basis of it being a magical girl show, it was a well animated show and gives a good way for Ink to turn into Pastel Ink, however I didn’t find much humour in all this except for Arks’s reactions to being all perverted. Many cute elements throughout the episode although I’m not a fan of the loli aspects. Still, it is kind of hard to belive Ink to be a high schooler given the way she looks as well as the way she acts. But then look at how Manabi Straight turned out.
Tamura Yukari voices the magical English teacher, which I find to be a very excellent choice as Yukari does cute voices really well. Not to mention she’s done other magical girl roles, like Nanoha. Onosaka Masaya also does an awesome job as the perverted duck Arks. Funny as well since Masaya has done Nanshi from MAR, and Nanashi was quite a player in that too. There is still plenty of more characters to be introduced and from the looks of the OP theme, there’s at least two more magical girls to come.
The Moetan corner so far is what I like best about the show since the Moetan franchise is based on teaching english. I hope in the later episodes that we’ll be seeing more english teaching based jokes as that’s the reason I was so interested in seeing this show. Although it is too early to tell in what direction Moetan will go, but I do get the feeling it’ll go down the usual track like most magical girl shows. However I think Moetan does have a chance to break away from that, but I highly doubt it.
Definitely watching the rest of this if not for the english teaching parts, but for the moe aspects. I might continue to blog this since it is relatively easy to follow when watching raw, but I’ll hold off and see how the schedule goes. But if I do decide to blog this, it’ll be short posts.

like the moe but not the loli. ha ha. Find it interesting to watch, though having Ink so short even in high school. Nice show. Will be watching this one
Yeah, seeing the height difference between her and Nao was just weird. But I guess it adds to the humour to the show.
I just finished watching this and will do a review of my own soon lol. Loli is not my thing but the way she acts is cute so I will continue watching the show. Arc’s pretty funny, though his “interests” disturb me to quite a degree, Moetan corner is pretty cool plus they introduced some English in the show too which is nice.
You obviously failed at moe, moetan is the ultimate moe.
