OnceHinagiku and Yukiji arrive, they are shocked to see a full celebration dance party happening that Klaus had organised, and this makes it harder for Yukiji to tell Hayate the truth. As Nagi and Hayate dance together, she tells him she wished for only a private cosplay party, but Hayate responds by saying he is happy and he compliments on Nagi’s dress. It is then that Yukiji decides to tell Hayate because it’s her responsibility as an adult, but Klaus puts her on the spotlight to give a speech, so Yukiji instead only congratulates Hayate, earning a punch from Hinagiku. Hinagiku eventually gets a chance to speak to Nagi and informs her about Hayate failing, and now she doesn’t know what to do.
Hayate then gives a speech to say thanks to Nagi and that he is the happiest butler. Eventually Hayate finds out about him failing as Izumi, Risa, and Miki come by looking for Hinagiku, but brought along the fail notice. Yukiji starts apologising frantically to Hayate, but once she looks up, he has disappeared. Actually, he is sitting outside by the lake until Maria finds him and tells him that everyone is worried. Hayate feels that he’s done something horrible to everyone by giving them high hopes. After hearing about Hayate thinking he has nothing to lose, she presents to him a student ID with his details on it and reveals that he passed with a letter of recommendation from her. Hayate regains his confidence and yells that he’ll become a first-class butler for Maria’s sake. Blushing afterwards, Maria wonders why she was so bold with Hayate.

Impressions
Seeing Yukiji getting all worked up several times was the highlight of this episode. But not only that, hooray to more Hinagiku screen time. Maria definitely pulled a fast one on us by getting Hayate to pass the entrance exam with her letter of recommendation. Definitely something more to Maria than just an awesomely cute maid, plus her realisation of being rather bold with Hayate was funny.
I find it a little surprising that this whole event stretched out to an entire episode but also at this point, the series is starting to feel a little dry. At this point I’m finding myself not laughing as much as I did at the start of the series. So hopefully with next week’s episode, we’re getting introduced to some new characters and it being Hayate’s first day at his new school, it’ll brings back some more laughs.
And so we even have a new ending. Definitely some nice animation stills there however I don’t find the actual song all that great and I prefer the first ending theme. Makes me wonder if they’ll make an anime original episode of everyone going to the beach, as that would be fanservice central.

I like the new ending, it was funny how Nagi decided to play on her laptop rather than the beach. Maria’s pretty bold, but something like that was bound to happen.
Just like a typical hikkikomori, lol. But then she’s outside so she can’t be classified as a hikkikomori. But anyway, any Maria fanservice is welcome.
