Gotta love express shipping for it to arrive this fast. This got shipped on the Tuesday night/Wednesday morning an it arrived at my door step Friday morning. But anyway, here is Volume 5 of Kanon. Reason this wasn’t done last month was that I didn’t have money to buy it then. But at least I got Volume 6 at the same time, and I save a bit on shipping.

With the school broken into 2 factions, Nagasumi is targeted by both. Fortunately he is saved by Mawari and the girls, although he tries to thank them, they know that he is the cause of the uproar. San and Luna are on the rooftop and San asks Luna to stop this all, but Luna has no intention of stopping. Nagasumi is again being chased but eventually gets out of the school grounds, where he sees Saru who tells him only he can stop it all.

Pop idol Luna is singing on stage in front of her fans, including Nagasumi who is attending her concert. Though when she returns to her dressing room, she thinks to herself that humans are easily fooled by a mermaid’s voice. Her manager eventually enters her dressing room to inform her that San is currently living in Saitama. Upon hearing this, Luna remembers back in the past that San beat her in a child singing contest and has vowed to get revenge.
ADV Films Registers Kanon (09:44 PM EDT): Though as we’ve seen in the past, registering a domain name does not always equal a license by that company or even a license at all. It is rare however to see ADV Films registering a domain like this and not doing it through a proxy as most try to do. Newly discovered today is that they have registered the domain for Kanon TV. With their acquisition of Air TV it isn’t exactly a surprise if it pans out and this will surely fuel the speculation a bit more.
Usually I don’t keep up with licensing news or much US-licensed anime news, but this got me a little excited. With the recent licensing of AIR by ADV, it doesn’t seem very much of a surprise that they would also want Kanon. However since ADV licensed both AIR TV and Movie, made by two different companies, which Kanon did they acquire? Well obviously it would be the KyoAni version but it does make me wonder if they also decided to get the Toei version as well. Either way if they do actually have it licensed, guaranteed I’ll be buying the DVDs, even if I’m getting the Japanese ones already.
Just a note on the scanlations of the R2 Kanon DVDs. Some are probably wondering where Volume 5 is? Well it’ll be coming together with Volume 6 since I had monetary issue at the start of last month. So look forward to those sometime early next week.

For those who read my non-anime related posts, some of you will know I went to WSID (Western Sydney International Dragway) for a PGA (Pulsar Group Australia) drag race. Of course this was way back on the 14th March. Well toddske from the PGA forums was acting media man and has compiled a video of a few of the PGA guys racing (including me).
My car appears 5 times within the video at these times:
The one at 2:49 I was racing a MR2, which I’m not sure if it was turbo-charged or supercharged. Most likely turbo since I was able to keep up with him until I was upto 3500 rpm in 3rd gear. The blue GTiR you see actually blew an intercooler pipe and made a hole in his bonnet. Luckily in this compilation you don’t see me destroying my clutch. But now after seeing thisand the new clutch and flywheel is in, I can’t wait till the next time I head out to the dragway.

Nagi is playing a game on her console, but her character ends up getting killed and the console proceeds to insult Sakuya and Nagi. Though they leave the console to have dinner, it starts to emit an evil aura. The next morning, which is the same day that Hayate was forced to cosplay, Sakuya returns after leaving for school to find the console has come to life. She sends her two bodyguards to use fire extinguishers on it and to hit the reset button, but the television begins spouting out takoyaki drowning them.

Before attacking Matsuri, Aono says that she is no more and says goodbye. Matsuri manages to avoid being hit but is eventually forced to use her powers. She manages to take refuge in a tram car but Aono collapses some hanging steel supports onto the car. Although avoiding being crushed, Matsuri is badly injured to move. As Aono is ready to unleash her final attack, Matsuri says that it’s ok. Aono begins to have flashbacks from the past of Matsuri helping her but then throws her paper weapon. Though she missed Matsuri, Aono falls to her knees and begins to cry. Mayuko then turns up questioning who Aono is. Meanwhile Takeshi finds out that Sae has spotted Mayuko with Matsuri.
