With the Spring season coming to an end in about two weeks time, it’s time again to look at what series will be coming out this Summer (well technically Winter for me). So shows I’m definitely looking forward to watching, but some do perk some interest. Anyway a more comprehensive list can be found on Moon Phase. But for those who can’t read the moon language, check out moetron’s post on the Summer season. Of course this list doesn’t cover all of them, only the ones I’m interested in., either way, onwards!

Tetsuko no Tabi
- http://www.tetsuko.jp/
- Air Date: 24th June.
- The story is about a manga-ka traveling across different stations. Not entuirely sure what to think on this as it seems kind of Densha Otoko-ish, but with less otaku elements. Well I’ll watch a few episodes to see how it turns out.

Nanatsuiro Drops
- http://www.nanatsuiro.com/
- Air Date: 2nd July.
- Based on the h-game with the same name, I will most likely end up watching this. Also the original character designs are by Noizo Ito, same character designer for Suzumiya Haruhi and Shakugan no Shana.

CODE-E
- http://avexmovie.jp/lineup/code-e/
- Air Date: 3rd July.
- The meganekko girl can control electromagnetic waves and as she transfer schools, she comes across a boy who wants to know more of her powers. Again not sure on what to think about this, from what I gather it’s a love comedy so there’ll probably be some laughs. Whether it can keep my interest is another thing.

Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho
- http://umisho.com/index2.htm
- Air Date: 3rd July.
- An anime based around swimming?? Well I’m sure I haven’t seen any anime like that so this could be interesting, but anime does tend to make anything look awesome. The art looks good so I’ll be watching this.

School Days
- http://www.schooldays-anime.com/
- Air Date: 3rd July.
- If you haven’t heard of the game School Days, I hope Kotonoha will slice your neck with a saw. Based on the h-game by 0verflow which ended up being a mjor hit due to the game being entirely animated sequence. In other words it’s like watching hentai, but you have choices you can make. I remember when I first played this I managed to get 70% of all the endings but stopped because I burnt out from seeing the same scenes over and over again. A definite watch and a definite series for me to blog.

Doujin Work
- http://www.doujin.tv/index.html
- Air Date: 3rd July.
- Based on a 4-koma, it’s a story about a girl who enters the world of doujinshi. Sounds almost like Comic Party to me, and I loved Comic Party. Although I’m not expecting anything like comic party, but with some series recently being based from 4-koma (e.g Lucky Star and Hidamari Sketch) it may be worthwhile to watch.

Sky Girls
- http://www.konami.jp/visual/skygirls/
- Air Date: 5th July.
- An OVA of Sky Girls was released last year and it was such a success that they decided to make an actually TV series of it. Pretty much the story is humankind is facing enemies known as Worms, and with the lack of manpower, they have resorted to using elite young girls who pilot these mecha frames into battle, hence the name Sky Girls. Originally I didn’t find the OVA that enjoyable as I prefer Strike Witches over this. But still, I’ll watch this. Blogging however is pretty low.

Potemayo
- http://www.potemayo.com/
- Air Date: 6th July.
- When I first saw the site, I was thinking “WTF” with the character designs. It looks like a kid’s show, but I realised that the airtime is late Friday night, so it can’t be. Well I’ll watch this simply because the character designs look very misleading.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai
- http://www.oyashirosama.com/web/
- Air Date: 6th July.
- The sequel to the pyschological horror series that I only finished watching a few weeks ago. When I first watched the first season, boy was I surprised at the bloodyness of it. Of course after a few episodes I got accustomed to it. So a definite watch if you have watched the first season and liked it.

Moetan
- http://www.ink-chan.com/
- Air Date: 8th July.
- Moetan is a series of books that teaches people, well otakus, how to speak English. Personally I haven’t read the Moetan books but I hear they have crazy and weird phrases in there. Oh Japan, you’ll never stop surprising me. With moe looking characters (pun intended), a definite watch for me, plus I’ll be surprised if they use any of those weird phrases from the books. As for blogging, I’ll probably will blog this but in small random posts.

Zero no Tsukaima ~Futatsuki no Kishi~
- http://www.zero-tsukaima.com/index.html
- Air Date: 13th July.
- Everyone’s favourite tsundere magician is back for a second season. Although such a shame that this time around it’s 12 episodes, so makes me wonder how much of the novels they will cover in this as I know that it starts becoming darker in the later volumes. Anyway a definite watch but not sure if I’ll blog this since I dodn’t blog the first season.

Buccano!
- Air Date: 26th July.
- I went to Kinokuniya the other day and found that this is actually based on a series of light novels. From the preview it looks pretty interesting, and not to mention there is a hell of a lot of characters. With this set in 1930’s America I’m looking forward to this as that era of America was where they wore awesome hats and suits. Although I don’t think I’ll blog this.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2
- http://www.bin-kan.com/
- Air Date: 8th August.
- A long way away but still a part of the Summer season. Again another sequel for this season and I wouldn’t have found out about the first season if it weren’t for the anime club I was a part of. Anyway Dokuro-chan was a short OVA so I’m not sure how many episodes this is slated for, but still, a worthwhile watch for laughs.

This list is only a rough outline of what I plan to watch in the Summer season, although this will change as I get recommended series by friends or from what i read from the anime blogging community. But as some of you know, since I have a new job (I start tomorrow in fact) my blogging of anime episodes will change dramatically for the new season. The only exception are the current shows that I’m blogging at the moment since I like to finish them off for completion sakes. Besides, I’m sure there are other blogs that’ll cover shows just as good, or even better than I could. Also there is still Code Geass episodes 24 and 25 to look forward to this Summer season, although their airing dates have not been set yet. But of course, I’ll be blogging first episodes of most of the new season since it appears to be the only time I get a lot of visitors, lol, assuming I have the time to do so.
Note: layout idea came from Random Curiosity.
Tetsuko is not really a “story”, it is based on the mangaka’s travels and observations.
how come the page looks so similar to the one in random curiousity???
I thought it would look better this way. But of course, everything I thought out myself.
Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2… Hehehehehe…
Dokuro-chan 2 ! woho looking forward to it ^^;
A lot of shows that sounds good to me, like School Days and Nanatsuio Drops… and ZnT 2 of course
