Yorito and Mana return to the abandoned house where he stabbed Matsuri, but he can’t understand why. Before he leaves, Mana stops him as she has something important to tell him. Meanwhile Takeshi is in a convenience store buying a list of items and happens to run into Sae, who is working there. Over at the docks, Matsuri is telling Mayuko about Aono, but Mayuko asks about Yorito. Matsuri says she shouldn’t worry about it. Mayuko wants to know why Matsuri always dodges questions like that. Matsuri feels that if she doesn’t do so, it would be too painful for her.

At the Morimiya house, Koyori is helping Aono make lunch and to much of their surprise, Yorito returns to join them. Once Koyori leaves, Aono asks where he has been and not to hide the reason, but Yorito knows that Aono is the one hiding something from him. So he reveals that he knows about him stabbing Matsuri and Aono made it seem like a dream, but Aono insists she isn’t hiding anything. So Yorito removes the kitchen curtains and sees Aono step away from the light. He knows she is a Yaka thanks to Mana telling him earlier.
Mana is running around town trying to find Takeshi after hearing about it from Sae. She eventually catches up to him and explains she wants to talk to Matsuri. Takeshi says he has nothing to do with her so Mana asks him to tell Matsuri that Yorito is suffering. That night, Mana is flipping through the photos on her phone and remembers the time that she first met Aono and Yorito. Koyori comes in eventually to tell Mana that she went to visit Aono, but Mana simply suggest they sleep together since they haven’t done it in a while.
Yorito returns to the abandoned house and Matsuri eventually enters. He tells her that he remembers what happened here and at the cave, but nothing afterwards. He knows Aono and himself were siblings but he isn’t sure what he is. Matsuri confirms that he was there in the past and died, but to show what he is, she suddenly stabs him with Takeshi’s sword. As Yorito falls to the ground, he sees his hand turn into origami paper, and Matsuri says that is his true form. Yorito then falls into a dream of where he sees Aono digging through the collapsed house and Matsuri telling her that Yorito is gone with Aono blaming herself. Matsuri feels that this lead to Aono creating Yorito and implanting his the real Yorito’s memories.
Meanwhile, Myuko and Aono sensed that Yorito had been stabbed and Mayuko worries that Yorito is broken. Takeshi says that it doesn’t matter because Yorito is the one who wanted the truth. Matsuri and Yorito are now sitting at the park where they first met. Yorito asks Matsuri what the real Yorito is like as he thinks the real him would have the same personality. Though Matsuri says that she has forgotten and what she remembers is the him that is here now. When Yorito starts talking about not being the real one and not being human, Matsuri admits he is a phantom and doesn’t exist. Starting to protest, Yorito is interrupted as Matsuri suddenly kisses him. Matsuri feels that they can kiss and hold hands, so he does exists. Although he may have the memories, Yorito thinks independently and does things on his own, and that is what she likes about him. As the sun rises, Matsuri suggests that he disappear with her.
Later that morning, Mana and Koyori drop by to pick Yorito up, and surprisingly he is dressed to goto school. Meanwhile, Matsuri asks Takeshi to teach her how to use the sword.
Impressions
That was kind of unexpected. Originally I thought that Yorito was just a reincarnation and that Aono simply took over his memories. But to see him being a creation of origami paper due to Aono’s powers is certainly a twist. Although unexpected, it does all make sense in the en, especially how she made Yorito stab Matsuri and make him forget about it. Though I had a feeling that Matsuri knew about Yorito being a fake once she knew that Aono was his sister, but I find it romantic on how she still likes him despite him not being real. But then Matsuri isn’t human either so it’s not really all that weird.
I like how Mana is getting involved in the storyline as well. Although she may be a secondary character, but she is a good supporting character in the storyline with her helping Yorito on the side. But since she knows about Matsuri, Aono and Takeshi, I think she’ll still play a role in helping Yorito till the end of the series. Plus it’s nice to see her being all sisterly with Koyori by suggesting they sleep together.
What I found rather interesting was how Mayuko and Aono sensed that Yorito was stabbed. It brings about that sense that Yakas are linked together somehow and Yorito is the link between them. I’m not exactly too sure on how this is going about as it could show that Mayuko and Aono might have some relation to each other. Heck it could even be that Aono was the one who turned Mayuko into a Yaka, but of course that is just speculation at the moment. Also it’s good to see that Mayuko and Takeshi’s role in this isn’t over and that they are now sided with Matsuri. The sword appears to play a key in the story so far since now Matsuri wants to learn how to use it, and it could lead to a final showdown with Aono. Although Matsuri isn’t the type who would want to finish something off, but instead she may want to reach an ultimatum.
So with only 3 episodes left, and 2 DVD episodes, We still have a lot of time left on our hands here and I can’t but help feel the story is going at a fast pace. If the story ends at 13 episodes, I think the 2 DVD episodes may be just character specials. Also checking up on the DVD release, below are the covers for the First Press Edition covers for Volume 1 and Volume 2 and the third picture is the contents on the First Press Edition.

The First Press Edition will contain:
- DVD with first 3 episodes
- A Collector’s Box to house all your extras
- A drama CD
- A postcard holder
- Postcard collection
- A 8P colourful booklet
All I can say is that for this panda, he’ll be definitely be starving to get this collection.
