Shirukii: At this point I can't imagine Simon being very GAR. Though that may change since his character will change dramatically over the series. boo: Kamina's death is similar to that of Gai from Nadesico. He died pretty early in the series but he kept coming back as a memory. So you could be right in that sense. Ugh: If you have read my blog before, I tend to give spoilers. It's just the nature of doing an episode summary/review. suguru: the man at the beginning I figured it was Simon since he had the drill bit with him.

I had been assuming the man in the flash-forward at the beginning of the first episode was Kamina, but I guess that's really a grown-up Simoun. It's going to be hard on the whole cast going forward without Kamina, especially for Simoun since he lost his best friend/adopted brother--but it'll be interesting to see how Simoun reacts and if he becomes a great leader like his idol.
