Meanwhile Takeshi is getting his arm examined at the hospital, but refuses to tell Mayuko what happened. Mayuko accidently bumps into Koyori and tells her to be more careful and rushes off after Takeshi. Koyori visits Aono to inform her that Yorito is coming tomorrow to tell her something. Though Aono realises what it is when Koyori mentions that it will rain tomorrow. At school, Yorito is taking pictures of the sky for Matsuri when Mana finds him. He explains that last night he made a promise with Matsuri that she wouldn’t leave until he shows her the sky. Though Mana is worried about how Yorito wants to tell Aono about Matsuri and thinks that Aono won’t accept the reason of the two being friends. So she suggests the idea of being lovers. Yorito passes the idea to Matsuri which she accepts. Though when she says that they should practice, Yorito goes out to get the futons.
At the hospital, Aono has a cut on her finger and lets a drop of blood fall onto the frog origami, only to see it absorbed away. Back home, Yorito tells Matsuri that the futons have the smell of the sun and he plomps onto it. Matsuri does the same and finds it warm, though to Yorito’s surpise, he finds that she fell fast asleep. Patting her head as he thinks about them being lovers, but Matsuri isn’t actually asleep and he moves his hand. Though Matsuri wants him to put it back as his hand is warm. She then asks if Yorito has anyone he likes, but he makes it clear that he doesn’t, so Matsuri suggests that the two of them kiss. Nervous at first, Yorito places his hand on Matsuri’s shoulder, but she ends up laughing as Yorito took it seriously. But her expression changes once she hears that Yorito’s sister’s name is Aono.
The next day, Matsuri goes with Yorito, Mana, and Koyori to visit Aono, but find her asleep. It isn’t until they leave that Aono opens her eyes. Waiting at the tram station, Matsuri recognises Aono standing on the other side and tells the rest that she’ll walk home instead. Running across to where Aono was standing, all she finds is the origami frog bouncing. Over at the church, Mayuko is placing pots near the drip points and Takeshi realises his arm won’t be healed for a while. Matsuri eventually finds Aono by the tram depot inside an empty tram. Sitting inside, Aono tells Matsuri that her powers have returned recently and Matsuri has a flashback of Aono cutting her throat, she questions Aono about Yorito. Aono insists that Yorito is her brother despite Matsuri’s objections.
Back home, Yorito and Mana are arguing about what to put in the sukiyaki, but then Matsuri walks inside, and to everyone’s surprise, so does Aono. As the group sit together eating dinner, Aono wants to stay home as a condition since Matsuri is staying with Yorito. This gives Matsuri the chance to tease Yorito about doing perverted things with erh, which gets both Mana and Koyori angry. After the sisters leave, Matsuri asks Aono for a favour. Later that night, Yorito and Matsuri are sneaking into the school since Matsuri wants to see what it is like. Sitting int he classroom, Yorito complains about going to school, but Matsuri says that not being alone should make him happy. He then takes her to the rooftop of where he took the pictures of the sky. Yorito reminds her of the promise, which causes Matsuri to cry, but she then begins to talk about how Yaka are being that are meant to be alone. Matsuri begins to recall how Aono had slit her throat as the sun rose. Picking her up Matsuri places her lips on her throat and soon enough Aono woke up. Pushing herself away from Matsuri, she finds out that she burns in the sunlight and soon enough starts crying to Matsuri on how she didn’t want to continue living in a world without Yorito.
Finishing her explanation, she walks up to Yorito and kisses him, and then passes him by. By the time he turns around, he finds that Matsuri had disappeared.
Impressions
So far this has to be the best episode so far as we finally get to know about Aono and Matsuri’s bloody past. Things have definitely started to turn interesting as we now know that Aono is in fact a Yaka, the same as Matsuri, and it is Matsuri who turned Aono into a Yaka. From the looks of things, this would’ve happened a number of years ago as it seems to show that the two have lived a long time and that there is a possibility that Aono and Yorito were siblings then, or perhaps even lovers. Aono’s insistance of Yorito being her brother is interesting as well as this could reinforce the idea that they were siblings in the past and that Aono is simply seeing Yorito reincarnated here. Right now though I still don’t see a Yorito x Aono ending as they still appear to be just siblings and nothing else.
Matsuri’s explanation along with her flashback was great as it showed what the relationship between her and Aono is, but it also reflects her feelings about her being a Yaka. Having lived for many years, she must have come to understand that she is always alone and always will be. Though looking back a few episodes when she said that Yorito would hate her later, I think the reason behind this could be when Matsuri turned Aono into a Yaka as well. She probably feels the guilt of doing such a thing and doesn’t want to do the same thing with Yorito. Her kissing Yorito at the end and disappearing was really good. We can see that she obviously have feelings for Yorito, but whether it was the same in the past is yet to be known. Her teasing of Yorito about being his girlfriend was really amusing and cute. So far with Matsuri’s character, you can’t tell when she is serious, playful, or even flirtatious and I’m enjoying everything about her. This week as well we see Matsuri in twin-tail mode. So cute~~~~
With this episode, it has revealed a lot of background on the characters, but it just opens up so many more questions in relation to Matsuri, Aono and Mayuko. Why does Takeshi still want Matsuri, or in this case, he could go for Aono instead and how does their being a Yaka help Mayuko. With Aono’s true identity revealed, how will Yorito take all of this when he finds out, but also would Aono’s presence help Matsuri stand under the sky. Mana now knows about Matsuri’s true identity of not being human, so how will her role play out, but also, what will happen when she finds out about Aono, the same with Koyori. There is so much more I want to know and I’m now eagerly awaiting for the next episode each week.

Hmm seems interesting although Dorito seems as flat as ever :S
Indeed, Matsuri’s identity is still clouded and with Aono now, the story is gonna get double interesting.
Hinano: Yeah that’s true, but no one cares about Dorito.
oOgA: Definitely. The truth about Aono was certainly a surprise.
