Da Capo II anime announced

Moonphase Diary and the June issue of Comptiq have announced that a Da Capo II anime is in the works. No air date has been announced but the series maybe slated for 26 episodes. This is just awesome news and something that I will be looking forward to since the Da Capo series is one of my all time favourites.

Though of course not much is known about what they have planned but I do hope they keep the same seiyuu’s from the game. With this announcement, it now gives me much needed motivation to actually finish the game as I’m about 50% complete, lol. Speaking of game, there is also a Da Capo II Plus Situation (D.C. 2 P.S) game coming out for the PS2. Just like the first game, it will include some new routes with either some existing characters like Akane or Inchou, or we could have entirely new characters. Even though it’s only for PS2, there’s bound to be a PC version of it sooner or later.

Otome and Nanaka~~~~

This news made my day…once there’s an air date I’ll be counting the days until it’s out. I only played the demo (and understood almost nothing) but it was enough to get me hooked–from what I’ve read on forums about the storyline, this has the potential to be even better than the original Da Capo anime. I’m guessing the most likely main character will be Yume, but I think my favorites would be Otome and Nanaka too…well, if it’s 26 eps regardless of who “wins” in the end at least the whole cast should get plenty of screentime.

I hope there’ll be a little more competition this time around. Because in Da Capo it was pretty much Nemu’s victory since the beginning, Sakura and Kotori putting up little resistance. And there wasn’t a shred of rivalry in DCSS. Not that I’m saddened by the Nemu victory, but she should have had to fight for it.

Ahh X_X I can’t wait until this materializes.
