Isumi arrives inside to greet Nagi and tells her about meeting Hayate and how he will be in trouble soon. Meanwhile Hayate runs into the loan sharks as well as the men in black suits and ends up fighting them all. Though he manages to return to the mansion in tatters only to be shut outside. Nagi heard from Isumi what Hayate said about her and is angry about him, thus why she shut him out.

Although Hayate ended up catching a fever with a temperature of 38.9 degrees and is stuck in bed. Of course everyone knows that it’s Nagi’s fault and stares at her, but that just makes her mad. Later in the day, Isumi gives Hayate a milkshake and comments how all girls can cook. Although Nagi is annoyed by this and now wants to cook something for Hayate to eat, despite everyone knowing that she can’t cook well. Of course by the time the food is ready, Hayate is surprised to see it looks normal, but once he takes a bite, he finds it tasting horrible, but he eats the entire bowl anyway. In the kitchen, Maria finds that Nagi used dishwashing liquid instead of oil and comes by Hayate’s room to tell him. Hayate says that he knew it didn’t taste good, but he knew Nagi was working hard to make it and that he felt happy to be nursed since his mother left him alone and went gambling when he was sick. Nagi of course overheard all this and sneaks into his room trying to kiss a sleeping Hayate as a way of thanks. But he wakes up before she could resulting in him getting beat up.
The next morning, Hayate is back to normal, but he also encounters a woman in a maid outfit who fixes his tie. Though when she leaves she ends up tripping over twice. Hayate questions Maria about the woman but she says she is a guest, and that another guest is coming, so Hayate should lead them to the guest room. Maria goes off to inform that a member of the Tachibana family is coming over, and the maid Saki is already here. But Nagi just calls up Klaus to order him to get rid of intruders, with force if necessary. Meanwhile, Hayate is out by the lake and sees a young boy who tells him to jump in the lake, but before he can react, the boy kicks Hayate in. Hayate manages to get out and explains his duty of taking him to the guest room but are shortly interrupted by Saki, who points out a robot floating behind them. The robot attacks them so Hayate runs away with the boy and Saki in his arms. Though the two don’t want to be held by Hayate, they struggle with them crashing into the guest room via the roof.
Nagi and Maria are already there waiting for them and Maria introduces the boy as Tachibana Wataru, Nagi’s fiancé.
Impressions
The continuation of the cashmere coat part was pretty funny and how Hayate kept running into trouble. But I would have to say the more hilarious parts were Nagi trying to cook Hayate some food and ended up using dish washing liquid instead of oil, how Hayate could also sense the detergent in the food and also when Nagi started yelling out “urusai” three times.
This week we get introduced to two more characters, Wataru and Wataru’s maid, Saki. Its good to have another male character as it at least balances out the cast and not make this seem like a harem show though with the two coming in the last 1/3, we don’t get to find out too much about them. But obviously we can see that Nagi and Wataru don’t seem to get along and that Saki is pretty clumsy. Also Saki’s belief in her being touched by a man would lead her to be unfit for marriage is amusing, plus I can see her avoiding Hayate later on in the series.
This week’s references that I picked up are:
- MAR’s Dorothy on the poster.
- Musou Tensei technique from Hokuto no Ken
- Inuyasha bust outside Hayate’s room
- Minovsky Drives from Gundam
- What appears to be a blue Pikachu in the painting
Didn’t quite pick up the third bleeped out reference. Also I’ve been wondering why there are so many MAR references and I found out earlier today that MAR was also produced by Synergy. But also Nakajima Saki, who voices Saki, is also the same seiyuu for Dorothy. Also to note that today I read all the Hayate no Gotoku manga scanlations that are out so I’m relative upto date and know what to expect in the next few episodes. Though I’m a bit late in saying this but I am disappointed in how they have missed out parts of the manga which will seem odd if they decide to add them in later.

Also here is a full panning shot of Isumi. I edited a lot of parts to remove the sunlight around her thighs but it looks pretty good.

Thank you for your effort in putting together Isumi’s picture.
I consider it the best fanservice ever conceived. Stylish, subtle, and just plain beautiful.
I didn’t seem to find this ep as funny as some of the previous ones, but that says absolutely nothing since last week had me falling off my chair (that and I’m gradually getting lost on the references. Must anime more!!)
The staring bit was lol, though. Maria is so awesome /(*-*)\
On a side note, nice work with the Isumi fanservice shot XD
~stare~
