Nagasumi learns from his parents that they are returning home tomorrow. So the next day, him and San take a boat trip to a deserted island. Thinking that it’s just the two of them, he considers when to tell her about him returning home. However he soon finds out that they are not alone as Maki, a small girl with a shell is with them. Nagasumi soon finds out that it’s Maki’s job to get rid of him and so through out the day, Maki tries to kill him with the water gun that is hidden inside her shell.

 |
San doesn’t realise what is going on since Maki keeps changing her personality in front of her. Though after surfacing from a 45 metre dive, Nagasumi is paralysed from the high pressure giving Maki a chance when she sends San away. However San managed to save Nagasumi from Maki’s attack and San tells her not to harm him as the reputation of the Seto Mermaids would be tarnished. Later on the boat trip back, Nagasumi finally tells San that he is returning home and he’ll come back to see her during his winter vacation, but San surprises him as well as Masa and Maki by saying that she will be going with him to Saitama despite her father and Maki’s protest. The next day Nagasumi and his family along with San board the train. Thinking his worries are now all left behind, he looks out the window and sees San’s father holding onto the side of the train, but when he opens his bag, he also finds that Maki is tagging along with them.
Impressions
Well the craziness is still there and we get introduced to another character, Maki. Maki made me laugh throughout this episode especially with her switching personalities in front of San, though i was really surprised to see someone as small as her. Mini characters must be a new craze or something as see with Reinforce-tan from Nanoha StrikerS. One notable thing about Maki as well with her split personality, Kuwatani Natsuko is Maki’s seiyuu but she is also the seiyuu for Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden, so the role fits her perfectly. However I don’t think we’ll be seeing Maki going “desu desu desu” but if it does happen…….
So now with Nagasumi returning to Saitama with both San and Maki, things will appear to get more interesting and looks like we’ll be introduced to another character. So plenty of more laughs will be coming that’s for sure.
