Morimiya Yorito goes out one early morning to photograph the morning sun. As he was setting up, he hears a girl kicking a vending machine because the drink won’t come out. Yorito decides to help the girl out and by the time he succeeds, the girl has disappeared. The next day at school, he is telling his friend Ishizuki Mana about the girl he met yesterday, but she changes the subject about a present. Once she sees what Yorito got she sees he has no taste and even gets the agreement of some female classmates. Later on Yorito and Mana head to the hospital to see Aono, Yorito’s sister, to celebrate her birthday. But when looking through the blinds, he sees a beautiful sunset and rushes out to the rooftop to take a photo. He manages to take a photo of the sunset with the church in the foreground.

Ok really, there isn’t much to say about Sisters of Wellber. Tina is a masked thief and Rita is a princess. One night Tina sees that Rita has murdered some guy and is now on the run from some blonde guy who wants to kill Rita. So the two are now on a journey to hand over a parchment or something. Personally I got pretty bored watching this and for a few reasons. The story doesn’t seem very interesting at the moment and with it being a girl duo, it almost seems Noir-ish.
The music didn’t seem all that great either, including the opening and ending. Though if the music was done by Kajiura Yuki, then I would be gnawing at my arm (not that her music is bad or anything). There are a small number of different characters so far, mainly Tina the thief, Rita a princess being hunted, a green fairy, and a talking mechanical tank with a knight helmet. WHAT THE HELL??? This combination is a bit weird and having the tank pop out of nowhere was a bit random. At least with Rita, we see a princess who can actually kick some ass and I can see later on in the series that she’ll be involved in more fights.
However the animation is definitely good, as you would expect from Production I.G. So really, I think that’s one redeeming part about this series, but the good animation isn’t enough to get me interested in this at all. At this point I can’t say where Sisters of Wellber is heading, nor will I ever know as I won’t continue watching this. Though knowing that this is produced by Production I.G, I think the story would probably turn out great, but it would fill me with much rage at some point *cough*Blood+*cough*.

A long time ago, people who called themselves the Golden Tribe called out other tribes to come to the universe they are creating. Three tribes responded, the Silver Tribe, the Bronze Tribe, and the Hero Tribe. Before the Golden Tribe left for another universe, a fourth tribe came and entered the universe, humankind. So the Golden Tribe called them the Iron Tribe.
