With Mana at her part-time job, Yorito returns home to see that Matsuri went out and bought some avocado-flavoured ramen. Though they are shortly interrupted as Mana comes by to cook Yorito dinner. He tries to stop her from entering but Mana eventually walks in and finds the ramen in the kitchen. Matsuri was hiding upstairs before Mana came inside. After Mana starts to cook dinner, she notices that Yorito is out of ingredients and sends him out to buy them, giving her the chance to search around the house. Finding nothing upstairs, Mana returns to the dining room but is surprised to see Matsuri sitting there eating.
As the girls talked and drank tea, Yorito returns and they begin to have dinner. But of course it becomes awkward as Yorito tries to come up with excuses about Matsuri, even thinking up that she is his cousin. When Mana asks Matsuri what her relationship with Yorito is, she takes a while to think but doesn’t come up with anything. Mana concludes that Matsuri is a stray cat and gets Yorito to tell her the truth. Yorito explains that he didn’t want Mana to know since she gossips and doesn’t want to worry his sister. Mana agrees to not say anything and accepts Matsuri. Afterwards Matsuri decides to leave the two alone whilst she goes out. Mana wants to talk to Matsuri more but goes outside only to find she is gone. She tries to convince Yorito to find her but don’t get far as Matsuri is at the door with all her belongings. Matsuri thinks they are going out on a date and the two tell her that it’s a misunderstanding. The next day, Yorito greets Mana at school, but causes Mana’s friend, Sae, to think that she missed something important.
Impressions
So this week is a bit more laid back in where Matsuri settles into Yorito’s house but also ends up meeting Mana. This felt more slice of life than what we have seen in the first two episodes so far, but I expected something like this during the middle and will probably go on for a few more episodes. The first half wasn’t that interesting but once Mana discovers Matsuri, it was pretty amusing to see their reactions to each other and how Yorito tries to come up with excuses. Although for Matsuri to be a being who has lived for hundreds of years, she appears to be a bit of an airhead in how she couldn’t go with the flow of the conversation, but I guess that’s a cute attribute of her’s.
Mana’s questioning of their relationship is a bit questionable in itself. It may show that she has some feelings for Yorito but I don’t think we’ll see anything develop between the two of them. I think it was a good time for Mana to find out about Matsuri and it’s only a matter of time till Aono and Koyori find out as well. Though I would like to see their reaction of when they find out the truth about Matsuri though I’m sure we won’t see that till the last quarter. The part of Mayuko and Tsujidou I don’t quite get, though I think Mana seeing them may bring something up later when Mana finds out about Matsuri’s true nature.
Aono I still find annoying as hell and thankfully there wasn’t much screen time for her this episode. However her reaction to Yorito wanting to go home is a little understandable. Seeing how she doesn’t get to see Yorito often, but I still see her as being rather selfish and that she doesn’t seem to appreciate Yorito’s gifts, even if he has no sense. Though I still think there is a reason to her selfishness and hopefully we’ll see it soon.
The preview has Aono and Kyori doing a tongue twister together so I’m assuming we’ll be focusing on them for next week’s episode.

I actually think the slice of life episode happened a little too soon. I was expecting a little more of an explanation from the guy hunting her down. Nevertheless, the slice of life and hints of ecchi was more than enough to keep me entertained
