A guy called Wataru finds a girl in her underwear sleeping in his room. A fellow dorm mate, a girl called Hayama Umi, knocks on the door and walks in, but only to find Wataru and the girl on the floor. Watru keeps Umi quiet but the girl wakes up and slaps him. Not knowing what is going on, the other dorm residents head up to see what is happening, but the girl grabs her clothes and jumps out the window.
The rest of the day shows Wataru and the girls in school until the girl from before, who we know as Sawaki Rina, is introduced as a new transfer student. After class, Umi and the girls decide to hold a party to welcome Rina as a member of the dorm, but she doesn’t want to join them and walks off, leaving Umi crying. That is until Wataru confronts her about how she is acting.

Impressions
Ok really, I didn’t pay much attention to what they were saying as I found this episode really boring. So far I’m not too sure what the story is about and the fact that it is based off a h-game means that it could just fail. We really didn’t get much of a character introduction which makes pretty much all of them really uninteresting. Wataru just seems like an average guy but at least he isn’t a total wimp. Rina on the other hand is a total bitch, which kind of makes it funny, though I can see her being a tsundere later on. Really the only character that I liked so far is Umi, but that is puurely based on her character design and I find her cute, plus her character design reminds me of someone else which I can’t put my finger on at the moment.
The opening theme I didn’t find that good and that we didn’t see a opening sequence, just Wataru moving into the dorm. The ending theme I liked more than the opening but all we get is a bottle with a photograph in it floating in the ocean. I must admit, one good point about this episode was the background music, which I found to be really good. Although having background music playing constantly kind of gets annoying.
The animation quality is pretty decent for the first episode and I’m a sucker for falling cherry blossom scenes. BUT the animation studio doing this is Artland, and they were the animation producers for Happiness and we may see the quality go downhill after a few episodes. Overall I didn’t find this episode all that interesting as it has nothing to offer us except for why Rina doesn’t want to make friends. Definitely won’t continue watching this.

I don’t care about the story as long as there are beautiful and cute ladies! Bwahahaha…*Sigh*
Yeah, I tried watching the raw and pretty much had the same reaction you did. I heard the game got some kind of award, and maybe the plot will pick up later, but so far it just doesn’t seem very interesting. And I’m a sucker for bishoujo series, I’m even watching Lovely Idol…
samejima: Lol, well most of the ones here don’t interest me except Umi. But still, I prefer at least some story to it.
suguru: It got an award? Wow. Well I probably won’t continue watching regardless if it gets better or not. Also I’m a sucker for bishoujo series as well and I watched all of Lovely Idol raw, yet I didn’t blog it, lol.
