With the Easter long weekend, it was time for a short break from all the anime of the Spring season and was time to get out and get some fresh air. Heading out to the city on a cold, drizzly day, man new discoveries were awaiting to be uncovered. Many new places for photography and many delicious foods, but more importantly, the discovery of new friends. Today I made not just one new encounter, but two! Yes, today I got the chance to meet up with two fellow HongFire members, icie and Windbell. Windbell is actually from Singapore and has come down to the land of Oz for a holiday and has dropped by into Sydney to meet icie and myself.
Despite the random changes in the weather, it was a great day out as I got to know the people behind the names but as well as getting some figure photography done. Having done figure photography for a while, I also passed on my knowledge to the pair but I was also surprised myself that I knew quite a bit, but there is still much much more to learn. So I hope that what I have taught them will help in their future projects of figure photography or photography in general. But also, at least they now know what i go through when I have a number of eyes on you whilst photographing figures in a public place.
Also to list a few things from today:
- I probably did enough walking to cover 2 months worth of exercise.
- Chocolate pizza is deadly if you try to eat it by yourself.
- Carrying so much equipment in rainy weather sucks.
- Public transport is still expensive!!
- SCREW YOU RANDOM SYDNEY WEATHER!!!!!
In the end it was a fun day and I’m glad I didn’t bother telling work that I wasn’t available beforehand. It was great to meet the friends that I have made online through both HongFire and through blogging. New encounters bring along wonderful things and I hope to one day encounter them once again. But right now I feel like this:

Of course this is also to the fact that driving home in a torrential downpour of rain on the M4 going at 100 km/h requires an insane amount of concentration so that I could stay alive. Anyway, below is a sample of some nighttime photography (unedited as I can’t be bothered at the moment) that I took. Some of the figure ones didn’t turn out, but majority turned out extremely good. However I MAY have to redo them, but I’ll see.

Regular Spring season anime posts will resume tomorrow night when I’m feeling less dead.

Weather in Sydney sounds like Chicago
Very random lol
I actually has been though, we went from 70f one day to 40f the next…
Very beautiful Sydney skyline!
Btw, has your Kanon DVD vol.4 arrived yet? I’m curious about the cover art for Mai this time…
AOforever1: The weather has only been random like this because it is Autumn here in the land of Oz.
Ravenscraft: This is only a sample of Sydney, there is much more to show. My Kanon DVD Vol 4 is coming to me now as I was a bit late in ordering due to being a bit busy.
