That's definitely an accident waiting to happen. When I was still in college I worked at a large clothing store and the back room looked like that all the time. I don't know how people didn't get injured during my year and half there. I did manage to slip a number of times on boxes and hangers laying around. People complained about it all the time, but management were a bunch of morons. I was actually glad to have to deal with customers instead of working in the back.
