OP Sequence:

OP: 「SECRET AMBITION」 by Mizuki Nana

A grown up Nanoha saves a girl from a burning building. Four years later, that young girl, who name is Subaru Nakajima, is taking an exam with her comrade Tianna Lanstar to raise their rank from Rank C to Rank B. Reinforce is the one who will be their proctor, whilst Fate and Hayate will be viewing from a helicopter above.

As the two go through their exam, they do rather well, until Tianna trips over and sprains her ankle, due to her saving Subaru. With only a few minutes left, the two work together to finish off the major target and race towards the finish line. Subaru charges at full speed, with Tianna on her back but the two can’t stop. Just as they were about to crash, Nanoha happens to save them. Reinforce starts lecturing them about hurting themselves but dismisses it eventually. Nanoha meets with Subaru and Subaru cries tears of joy that she got to meet Nanoha again.

ED: 「Hoshizora no Spica」 by Tamura Yukari

Impressions

This was definitely better than I thought as it was great to see all the old characters, but grown up! Its nice to see they retain the the aspects from the previous two series, such as animation quality, music, and the fast paced action. Although with this episode focusing on the new characters, I assume that the next few episodes will be introducing the new characters, as well as bringing back some old ones. I do look forward to seeing some of the old ones, but I think I’ll grow to like the new ones as the series progresses.

Reinforce-tan is just so awesomely moe~~ Funny seeing how a tome of destruction can be a Chief Master Sargent and be absolutely adorable and definitely hope to see plenty of her in the series. Though now with a very large cast of characters, it does make me wonder how they are going to juggle them all around especially with all the new characters to come. But overall I think this first episode was great. As a continuation from Nanoha’a A, its fresh, more matured, mostly likely better fight scenes, and hopefully an awesome story.

I’m not sure if I want to keep blogging this as I’ll hold off for a few more episodes and see what other ones I want to blog about. But the chances are pretty good.
