Moé Moé Rabu

With Kyoshiro, Soujir, and himiko to save the Absolute Angels, they have now merged to become the one Angel, Bastille. Bastille is the Angel who caused the burning snow several years ago and is set to destroy the world for good. Inside Bastille are the four Absolute Angels, with all except Kuu chained. Kuu realises that she isn’t the empty shell that she is but in fact that she is whole due to her love for Kyoshiro. So with that, Bastille begins to break apart and Kuu falls out, with Kyoshiro jumping to catch her.

Impressions

Seeing the 4 Absolute Angels combining together to form Bastille was rather funny as it seemed very power rangerish. I was more hoping that they merge within Kuu but at least this way it shows what their sword names are actually referring to. Before it was a bit hard to remember all the names but it doesn’t matter at now.

Megingjord (Kuu’s other half) was brilliant in this episode as she brought out each of the Absolute Angel’s deepest emotions of the person they care for and how much they care for them. Like Batraz’s loneliness and how Soujiro is the only one who showed compassion, Kaon is willing to do anything for Himiko as long as she doesn’t lose her feelings, and Setsuna’s desire to be with Kyoshiro despite an empty future makes me feel rather sympathetic to all of them. But the best part is Kuu realising that she is not the empty shell that she is, but rather she is who she is because of Kyoshiro.

Kazuya wasn’t as badass as in previous episodes, and it seemed that he just stood around the whole time. Many parts were skipped making it pretty confusing. Like when Soujiro was holding off Kazuya, but then joins up with Kyoshiro later, WTF! Not to mention that it appears Kazuya got stomped on by Bastille, so is he dead already or what? Well hopefully the next episode will conclude everything nicely and we’ll see if it ends like how I thought it would.
