Shana, the Lolilicious Loli of 2007 (Loli Battle 2007)

We’ve had SaiMoe, and we’ve had SaiGAR, but of course, we couldn’t forget about any of the loli fans out there, so we now have Loli Battle! Starting WAY back on the 8th January, there has surely been some tough competition since then, many surprising, some not so. There was even some drama happening, with some rematches and a shuffling of characters, but we finally reached to the near end.

Upon reaching the quarter finals, it almost appeared to be a Takamichi Nanoha VS Fate Testarossa, but out of a stroke of luck, that was not meant to be. With Shana taking a staggering lead over Nanoha, it was down to a Fate VS Shana battle. Both lolis had it tough and it was down to the wire. But like all battles, there can only be one winner. With a total vote count of 416 and a lead of 64 votes, the winner is Shana from Shakugan no Shana. So congratulations to Shana!!!

SaiMoe was a Japanese competition and there were a lot more voters. That being said, I think it has as much weight as Loli Battle, that is, none at all. It’s just voting for fun in the LOL INTERNET. Basically, no one really cares about it and it makes no difference at all who wins. So just cut us some slack and let us have fun with whatever battles we like.

Even the results of the SaiMoe must be taken with grain of salt. I still fail to understand how Chikaru from Strawberry Panic could have made it to final 4. She is a good character, but she doesn’t get much screen time, nor the ‘that’s it!’ moment neccessary to make her memorable. I do hope that they would make a side story OVA series with Chikaru as the main character, though.

I blame StrikerS! Although grown up Fate looks so h… that’s not the point!

I’m just glad it’s over - I was getting tired of morons fagging up the /a/ boards with boasts of how they’d ‘haxxored teh voting system lulz’.
