NRMA Motorfest 2007 - Part 1

Having read about Motorfest in the latest issue of NRMA’s open road, I remember when I was about 11 and I went to see all these vintage cars near Hyde Park on Australia Day with my family. That was the last time I went and I don’t remember much from those days, but now I’m 22 and my interest in cars have grown since then. Also being Australia Day, I didn’t have much else to do so I thought it would be a good chance to check it out once and again. This time armed with my Canon 400D.

WARNING: Picture intensive post

Motorfest is held every Australia Day on Macquarie and College St in Sydney near Hyde Park. With it being a sunny day, yet very humid in the morning, it was a great day to take photos. Starting from the end of College St/Liverpool St intersection, it took me roughly 2 hours to walk to the end of Macquarie St near the entrance to Botanic Gardens.

I didn’t expect to see so many cars, all looking fantastic as well, and so many different variety of cars. Though I had no idea what some of them were, but I recognised quite a few easily and started snapping away. Though learning my lesson from Autosalon Final Battle late last year, I can’t take pictures of all the cars. Plus it would be pointless as there were groups of similar cars. But I still managed to take a whopping 114 photos.

Anyway, these are all unedited photos. So no adjusting colours or brightness in any of these pictures. Bless natural sunlight!

Well that’s it for this post. The next post will contain the rest.
