Australia Day 2007

Yes today is Australia Day. I hope my fellow Australian readers are celebrating this great day where ever you live. It’s a day that symbolises us as a nation and to celebrate when the First Fleet landed at Sydney Cove back in 1788.

Today I headed out to Sydney to check out NRMA’s Motorfest 2007. Motorfest is a collection of vintage cars that are shown to the general public. It has a variety of cars that we’ll probably won’t ever see again in many years to come, unless they are in museums. So armed with my trusty camera I went out and took photos. These will be posted in a separate post.

Though being the “Sunburnt Country”, I also happened to get sunburnt on my cheeks and nose, which currently looks like I have a permanent blush *^_^* . All in all, it was an enjoyable day, with a lot of walking and a lot of photo taking. Next time I’ll make sure to wear sunscreen. So open up that beer, fire up the BBQ, and enjoy Australia Day.

Australia Day! Aussie Oi Oi Oi!

    That’s the slang for Australian.

Man it’s so hot at Perth, I think about 38 degree. I didnt go and watch the firework, too hot. I’ll watch the TV telecast at 11pm.

You forgot to mention to eat lamb on Australia Day.

The “eat lamb” was caused by a commercial promoting eating lamb 3 years ago. It wasn’t really australian icon in the first place.
