Yoake Mae Yori Ruri-iro Na ~Crescent Love~ - 05

The group are at a beach and it’s the first time that Feena has worn a swimsuit. Karen is slightly embarrassed about showing off her swimsuit, so Jin tries to get her shirt but Karen smacks him into the ocean.

Feena talks about how she came to Earth when she was little, and that makes Tatsuya a bit envious as he wanted to go to the moon. Feena suggests they go swim, but Tatsuya reminds her that she might drown again, making her blush and calling him mean.

Whilst Tatsuya is teaching Feena about swimming, Feena spots something behind him and there is a shark fin heading towards them. Tatsuya takes Feena’s hand and they head to shore. As the shark fin gets closer, Karen attacks the shark but her sword is stopped by Takano who is on his assistant.

Feena is trying out “suika wareru” and ends up splitting it evenly. Feena spots Wreath amongst the crowd and they share some of the watermelon with her. Takano turns up with a small cruiser and suggests that everyone join him. Feena and Tatsuya turn around but find that Wreath has disappeared. As they are cruising out to the ocean, the cruiser explodes.

Although stranded on a deserted island, Feena gets everyone calm and assures that they will be fine and suggest they continue enjoying their summer holiday. Over the next few days, everyone is doing various activities to survive and have fun. On the third night, everyone is around the campfire but Karen notices that Feena and Tatsuya are not with them. But Sayaka in her drunken state pins down Karen and that’s sobbing about her not having a boyfriend and hugs her. Takano’s assistant also pins him down and hugs him, making him unable to go to where Feena and Tatsuya are.

Tatsuya and Feena are by a cliffside with Feena thanking him for a wonderful summer holiday and teaching her to swim, Tatsuya says it was because she worked hard and pinches her on the nose. Tatsuya thanks Feena because seeing her work hard she was able to accomplish a goal, making him realise about his dreams but sees that he has to work hard like Feena, saying that he’ll definitely go to the moon.

Feena asks why, and Tatsuya explains that he made a promise. Flashback to the past, we see a young Feena crying and a young Tatsuya with her. Feena tells him that her mother had past away. Tatsuya pinches her nose and saying that his mother also has past away, but then he starts crying. After the two finished crying, Tatsuya explains that his mother used to bring him to the park often. Asking where Feena is from, she points out the moon and he finds that amazing. He tells her his name, but as Feena was about to say her name, she stops and keeps silent. Suddenly, three men in suits come and take Feena away. As they are walking away, Tatsuya yells out that he’ll study about the moon and promises one day he will travel to the moon to meet her.

Coming back to the present, Tatsuya finally realises that the girl was Feena, and Feena introduces herself to Tatsuya. Feena apologises for not telling him her name, and says that she hasn’t cried since the day she met him, but she also remembers the promise he made. Though Tatsuya says that Feena is unfair since he wanted to go to the moon to meet her, but Feena came to the Earth instead. But he is happy that he got to meet her again and Feena feels the same.

The next day, Takano is found out by everyone that the island they were on wasn’t stranded after all. Takano tells his assistant to run away, but his assistant is already ahead of him.

Impressions

Damn, even when I was doing this in point form, I still wrote too much, lol. Anyway, the swimsuit episode. It was better than I thought it was, but only towards the end. Originally I thought that it would be a fanservice episode, which it is for the first half, but towards the last third of the show, we see are shown how Tatsuya and Feena met. So finally some Tatsuya x Feena action happening here. So it pretty much shows that the other girls have no chance, yet I still feel that the animators will do a girl of the week kind of thing.

Animation this week was consistant, except a bit glary when they were on the beach, unless it’s the raw that I got a hold of. Anyway the only time I feel they skimped on drawing is whenever Wreath makes an appearance. Also speaking of Wreath, it seems she makes herself present amongst Feena and the others, but I still feel that she’ll play an important role towards the end.

Also I enjoyed this episode more so than last week’s or the week before. Some may find it rather boring as there weren’t as many chibi scenes, but I’m not watching Yoakena for the comedy. I’m watching this with a romance set of mind and by far this episode has shown the most progress. To end that note, Feena in swim wear = WIN.

    Cabbage Cabbage Cabbage Cabbage!

From the screenies it seems that the animation quality has become better. Or did you just select the best looking ones?

No no, the animation quality picked up on episode 4. Besides, if they did the swimsuit episode the same quality as episode 3, I don’t think I could stand watching it.
