Day in the City - The Search for Toy Furniture!

Yesterday I went to the city to head to HobbyCo. Recommended by Megami, I went after Yum Cha with the family. Carrying my camera with me as well I set off. But unfortunetly it was a very windy day in the city of Sydney I happened to get something in my right eye. So wearing contacts + getting stuff blown into your eye = damn itchy eye.

Now I have not set foot in HobbyCo. for like ages, probably about 2 years. Heading in I went aroud looking for the Toy Furniture. Eventually I found the section but unfortunetly its not what I am looking for. The headed off to look around the shop, mainly at the Gundam kit section and the die-cast cars section. Oh yes I’m considering getting a die-cast car to use as a prop for photography, but also some of them look cool.

Afterwards I was planning on taking pictures around the city, but due to the wind and limited time I had I didn’t get much. Heck I didn’t even go to Kinokuniya! Well below are the only photos I took. They aren’t great either. I need an entire day to walk around the city to find good places to take photos, or better yet go around during night time.

I love the one of the buildings.

Shame, hobbyco didn’t have what you were looking for though. they had a whole section on dollhouses and at one stage i even considered using the miniature train set terrains as a backdrop..LOL

I’m looking for stuff along the line of modern furniture, kinda like Barbie but not Barbie labeled should I say.

Are you talking about the pictures of the Lion Statue? Well I took these at the entrance to one of the main sides of Chinatown. Yes it is a street, but no cars go through there, with the except of delivery vans. Along the street we have restaurant who have tables outside and they try to get you to dine-in either for Yum Cha or for dinner.
