Animania Sydney 2006 Merchandise
Well after a hectic day of sorting through photos, uploading and doing a write up for the weekend, I managed to get a chance to go through the merchandise that I bought. So firing up the camera I managed to take some pictures.
Originally when I sent an email to Tamarket, it had a list of the items I wanted and items that a few friends want. Luckily for my friends, everything they wanted was available. As for me, only one item. Thus a second email was sent with more items, but yet again, only a few items were available but I’ve forgotten what I requested. Thus adding with the items my friends requested I’m not sure how much the total is. All I know is that I spent, including the items I bought from Kinokuniya, over $300.
In the above we have Mon-sieur BOME Lumiere and Eclair figure set, ARIA Trading Figures (only got 4 though, Tamarket just gave me the box that came with it), Da Capo Second Second music jewelery box, and a Wing Gundam Zero Custom mini figure (similar to the Gundam Fix Figuration, but not).
Now of course, with the upcomming Kanon remake (airs this week to be in fact!), I couldn’t resist buying this. I’ve known that Tamarket had this for ages and I though now is the time to buy it. Also since I bought this, my friend Roobar reckons I should do a Ayu crossplay to the upcomming Supanova Sydney and keeps getting others to pressure me into doing it. Let me just say no comment at this point.
Being an ARIA fan, I had this on my list of requested items in the first email. I did get a reply saying it was sold already. But come convention day, Tamarket somehow found it within the many boxes they had. What are the chances of that? Now what is it you ask? Well its a desk mat. I don’t actually have a desk larger enough for it so I’ll probably hhang it on the wall somewhere.
This is the Da Capo Second Season music jewelery box. Originally I saw this in Japan when I went, but didn’t end up buying it. I kind of regretted not doing so and when I found out Tamarket had one, I grabbed the chance to buy it. Also I managed to record the tune for it, which is in fact a short version of Sakurairo no Kisetsu (the opening theme). To listen to it download the wav file here.
Now these next few are items I bought at Kinokuniya. Kinokuniya is right across the road from the Town Hall, where Animania was held. Walking in there around about 1 a.m it was quite busy, with majority of the people being the convention attendees. Luckily for me I only had a few things I wanted and here they are.
The D.C.F.S book was actually available from HLJ, but I missed the chance to order it, the same with the Peach-Pit artbook. And of course I knew the Da Capo Second Graduation third volume was being released but didn’t know it was around this time. Luckily I spotted it (go go eagle eyes!) and the Full Moon to add to the collection.
Well that’s it. As said I didn’t really buy that much since there was hardly anything I wanted. As always, Animania gets the leftovers from Manifest, and it kind of makes me wish I went to Manifest. Perhaps next year I might be able to attend but travelling interstate is not exactly cheap and easy. But we’ll see. Also with the figures I may do proper pictures and review of them so keep an eye for those posts.
