With the current season of anime series coming to a close, a new season brings us many new shows. Having a browse through what is coming up I’ve made a list of must watch, will watch, and probably watch at some random time if I’m bored. But of course I’ll probably watch other series not mentioned here as a good friend of mine will tell me to watch it. And when he says it’s good and it’s something that I like, he’s usually right (he knows my taste in anime like a book).

Kanon

Kanon was one of the first few animes series that I watched and I absolutely loved it. Now here it is again with better animation, and going at 24 episodes it is a definite must watch for me.

Gift ~Eternal Rainbow~

A game to anime conversion. I found out about this game whilst I was in Japan at the start of this year but I don’t know too much about it. I have an artbook of Gift as I quite liked it and it was cheap. But now we see if the anime is any good and this is something that I will watch.

Love dol: Lovely Idol

Another game to anime conversion. This game is done by Navel, famous for Shuffle. Now at this point I see nothing can beat Shuffle in terms of Navel based games. Soul Link just failed so hard and I have a feeling that this might as well. I’ll watch it purely on the fact that it is based off a Navel game.

Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru

Now having watched Maria-sama ga Miteru and Strawberry Panic I’ve grown fond of watching the shoujo ai genre. At first I though that this is what it was based on but after a bit of reading the basis of the story is the protagonist is a guy who crossdresses to enter an all girls school. Kind of reminds me of I My Me Strawberry Eggs but from a student view. Well we’ll see how this turns out.

Kujibiki Unbalance

The anime within the anime finally becomes an err…..anime series. Kujibiki Unbalance is a spinoff anime to Genshiken and I expect this to be good, but I doubt it will be as good as the OVA series. None the less I will watch.

Black Blood Brothers

Not too sure what this is about and at the time of posting the first episode is already subbed. Not too many vampire based animes out there so this looks interesting.

Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro Na ~Crescent Love~

Another game to anime conversion but this time based on an August-Soft game. Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro Na (quite a mouthful and I tend to forget the middle part) is translated to “Brighter than Dawning Blue” and having seen the artwork from the game I absolutely loved it. Kind of makes me regret not buying Yoake doujinshi at Comiket 69…. anyway once I heard of an anime being produced I was indeed happy since I liked ~Hani Hani~ Operation Sanctuary. Something I will definetly watch.

Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~

Tokimeki Memorial is one of the most famous dating sim games out and an anime has now been produced for it. There has been an OVA but I haven’t seen it and it is quite old, like 1999 vintage. Well with it being another game to anime conversion I’ll be watching it but with not a lot of expectations from this.

Now this list is only from my personal selection and I’ll probably watch other series that come out this autumn based on other people’s view. And you can probably guess from my selection majority of the list are game to anime conversions. Lets just say I’m a sucker for those types of anime. Also depending on how real life hits me with finding a job and all will determine how much I will actually blog. Well here’s to the new season!
