Another item that arrived together with Monthly Undine Volumes 2 and 3.
Now I don’t know much about the game Peace@Pieces but when I saw this figure on HLJ I pre-ordered it as Hikaru looks too damn cute like this. Just another wonderful item to add to my collection.

A very well detailed figure especially the guns. The gun in her left hand has Lies written on the side whilst the one in her right hand has Truth written. The other thing is the removable skirt as you can see in Picture 8 above. At first I thought “oh noes it broke in half” but when I saw the removable skirt I was relieved. I also like the clear base. Having a glass cabinet with glass shelves makes it look like she is not attached to a base at all (well if you’re looking from a distance) and it’s not a BIG base either. Overall I rate this figure 10 out of 10. I can not find anything really wrong with this figure. The quality is excellent, pose and her face is cute, detailing is tops and having an easily removable skirt wins extra points.
Misc notes not related to Hikaru figure
I am rather annoyed that my packages from HLJ to my door are taking at least 3 weeks to arrive to me now. Amazon orders take at most a week so I don’t understand why HLJ orders take so long on SAL. Perhaps I should switch to EMS but is it really worth the extra money? The only good points I see is that I can at least track the order and it gets to me within a few days, but I am guessing its Australia Post. AusPost have been notorious to take forever to ship mail to you.
Also I’ve tried yet another approach to taking photos. This time I happen to have found white cardboard at work and decided to make it like the previous ghetto setup with the HLJ box, but LARGER. Unfortunetly I found the cardboard as I was stepping on it hence the small dirt marks which are actually my shoeprints. And I have also tried using Auto Colour and Contrast balance in Photoshop and it has produced wonders. The pictures now turn out how I want them to turn out. Yet I still need a better camera to take close up shots.

Is it your camera or your hikaru’s awfully red?
Here’s my Hikaru: http://animedesho.animeblogger.net/?p=304
and you should try playing Peace@pieces. Nagi’s even more cuter. Thank god her figure’s coming out too ^^
Yeah its pretty red now that I look at it. Its probably from the auto-colour balance in Photoshop. I probably need to mess around in Photoshop more but I did take these photos at like midnight when I was supposed to be asleep.
I’ve yet to see Nagi’s version though I may buy it just so I have the two main characters,.
Had mine preordered (US distro version).. but now that I see her, I don’t think I can wait. Speaking of HLJ… I think they’re holding the package for almost a week before they actually ship (shipping in lot, I guess?).. my orders on Undine 2+3 and 2 other figures have already been charged, but I still didn’t receive the shipping notice from them. SAL from Japan to here usually takes 7-10 days.
Well, can’t be as bad as Akibado. It’s been 2 months and a bit since I bought things through them. They finally listed everything as “Arrived at office.” Hopefully they won’t take more than a month to estimate the shipping cost.
Good photos. It’s helped me decide whether to order this or not. I did.
