Yesterday I finally got myself a new mobile phone. After a long 24 months with my old phone (LG G7100), the contract for it ended and I wanted to change plans. So if I’m going to change plans might as well get a new phone. What I got was the Motorola RAZR V3x. Though with my old phone, I was with Optus and was paying $44 per month (including calls) but I rarely use that much in a month. Now I have moved onto 3 and pay $10 per month for the phone and I am on a $29 cap plan. So it works out cheaper and I don’t pay anything for the phone at the start.
Although when I got home yesterday and tested to see if I could use it, I found that I couldn’t make any outgoing calls let alone receive any. Rang up customer support and they said I don’t have an existing account. Went back to the place I signed up, talked to them about it and they fixed it all up. I was able to start using my phone after an hour of leaving the store.
So far I haven’t gone through all the features of my new phone as I’m sorting out my contacts list, but it is by far way better than my previous phone. Though I still get low reception on the V3x in my room for some odd reason. Could be the wireless router and wireless phone?? My brother and sister don’t seem to have a problem with reception on their phones… But yes, to compare with my old phone, it is slightly bigger and a little bit heavier, but I don’t mind, it doesn’t have an antenna! That was one annoying thing about my old phone.
But to sum up what I want to say about it all: 新しい形態電話バンザイ! (atarashii keitai denwa banzai!).
To the left is the LG G7100, to the right is the Motorola V3x.

So you DID get a new phone.
Looks shiny, although the regular V3 looks shinier. Shinyyy……
“To the _right_ is the LG G7100, to the _right_ is the Motorola V3x.”
:O
Ah thanks for pointing that out. I should really stop doing late night posting.
