It’s been a long time since I did a post but somehow I’ve managed to put in some effort this time around. Last weekend was Supanova Sydney 2012 and as usual I attend to take photos and meet up with various friends. It has also been a long time since I did any photography work but it was fun to wonder around snapping away at all the cosplayers around. Hit the jump to check out my photos for the Saturday.

Back in my early 20′s I thought the concept of setting goals was silly as I never usually accomplish them. All I could think of back then was just getting through university during the day and surviving being a night shift shelf packer at Woolworths during the night. Now that I’m heading towards to the big three zero in only a few years and having been through only the starting point of my career I have come to think very differently about a lot of things. One of those is setting goals.

Happy New Year!!!
Gosh, 2011 has been one of the most busiest years to date. Reflecting back, there has been many ups and downs and while there has been many rewarding experiences, there was also many difficulties I had to tackle though to succeed to where I am now.

As many of you readers know over the years I have managed to amass quite a collection of items because of my BURNING PASSION. But since having moved into apartment type living, as opposed to a proper house, space is quite hard to come by. But also over the course of the past 15 months my hobbies have somewhat changed. Going from an anime otaku to being a fan of Japanese idols, or more specifically AKB48. So I no longer buy anime goods but also my taste has also refined over the past 2 years. Therefore I have decided to sell off a lot of goods that I no longer want. So hit the jump to see what I have to sell off.

Wow another year has blow past me without me realising and all of a sudden I’m now 27. Life isn’t getting any easier as you get older as so many things change in such a short space of time. So many good things and bad things have happened and I don’t know where to start.

I guess the first thing would be that I changed jobs. My previous job was effectively killing off opportunities to expand my skills, or should I say it was making me go backwards by developing at 2001 coding standards. Where I work now is pretty awesome and I’m learning quite a bit about the world of e-commerce. Not to mention the salary is better. The downside? Well I no longer do iPhone development but I should probably look back at getting into it.
Having attended an AKB48 theater performance last year in Japan, my fandom for the group grew exponentially where it came to a point I was watching a lot of AKB48 related shows that I ended up not watching anime for a while. I can proudly say that my oshimen is Sashihara Rino!
Being a developer, I spend most of my time in front of the PC coding away for a solid 8 hours a day at work. My overall health wasn’t too good and I was actually overweight. So I decided to finally get into shape by cutting out a lot of unhealthy foods, drink heaps of water, and joining the gym. Since the start of this year I have managed to lose about 11 kgs and at this point I’m about 5 kgs away from my goal weight. let’s hope I can reach that before the end of the year!
Of course the bad things have to come with the good. The most major thing that happened was when I crashed my car, and recently the starter motor died. It pained me greatly to have damaged my car after having owning it for 7 years already and it still goes on strong. But the good news it is currently getting repaired I should see it again soon.
Last year I mentioned about moving forward in life and unfortunately this year I haven’t moved forward all that much. As I’m dangerously moving closer to 30 the next year will definitely be a serious time for future planning. I have effectively stopped buying things online as my collection is already quite large. In fact I am considering selling some items off but I shall see. But right now, it’s time for some cake.

So another year has passed since my last trip, and it was at that time that I thought I’ve had enough of Japan and didn’t really want to go back unless it was for non-holiday reasons. However life has it’s ways to flip everything upside down. So once again the next adventure is going to Hong Kong and Japan.

Originally I was planning on heading to Singapore or Hong Kong again this year, but with the K-POP concert held on the same weekend as AFA, that idea was scrapped. So co-blogger MrOptic and a friend, who we shall refer to from now on as M, asked if I wanted to go with them. At first I was hesitant about returning back to Japan but considering that the two have never been before and it would be beneficial for them if I joined them. So being the good friend I am, I’m tagging along. But deep down I just want to attend an AKB48 theater performance again.
The last time I only blogged up to Hong Kong as I felt that the photos I took and things I did last year was not really worth writing about. This time I’m hoping it will be slightly different as this time I’m not planning the itinerary of things to do. So far the plan is Hong Kong first from the 15th – 19th October, and in Japan from 19th to 30th October. If you’re in the area and wish to meet up, let me know. But at least look forward to blog post if I can manage to do them whilst abroad.
