Food is such a marvelous thing. It can bring about much joy and new experiences that you could not find anywhere else. It has only been two years since I started taking much more interest in food and I would say it was because of my previous trip to Japan, and the first season of Masterchef Australia also played a big role. Well it is also because of Masterchef Australia that I bring about this post. In the 2nd season of Masterchef Australia (2010) there was one item that stood out: Adriano Zumbo’s V8 Cake.

Just thought I’d make a little post about this before the clock struck midnight. Here’s a Happy Birthday wish to my favorite drummer girl, Ritsu Tainaka. Keep on keeping the beats, glorious band leader.

Hobbies are an essential part of us and without it, our everyday lives would be quite boring. They can vary in different areas but can also vary in levels. With hobbies also come activities, events, collectibles and objects, and even the bonding we have with people who have an interest in the same hobby. In my experience of being an anime otaku, it’s definitely the collectibles aspect that is the most intense. Having collected various items, there comes a point where one over-exerts on some items, and here I’m going to discuss about my love for particular objects.

Adun’s recent sale and my impending trip to Japan got me thinking: what’s an easy way to give some of my figures a new home and score some holiday cash? So here’s this post with a thorougly unoriginal idea. My collection didn’t get quite as large as Adun’s but it’s still taking up a fair amount of space, so it’s high time for me to sell some of my stuff.

The year has been a rather stressful year what with the daily grind, moving house, and the yearning for a much needed holiday. But to keep us on our toes another convention was just around the corner. SMASH 2010 was here!! So dusting off the camera, deliberating about which princess to take, and dragging my friend Roobar along, it was time to head to Town Hall once again. Hit the jump to check out some photos and thoughts of SMASH 2010.

When I started out collecting figures, it was a great joy seeing my favourite characters sitting on my shelves. But as time passes and the BURNING PASSION grew strong, the collection expanded quite rapidly. I even got to the point of having my room overflowing with unopened figures and despite a display cabinet completely full I continued to buy more. However many things have change over the past year and the random purchases have now come to an end. It now comes to he point that the collection must be trimmed. Hit the jump to see what figures I have available to sell.
UPDATE: all figures have now been sold. Thanks to all the buyers and all you readers who showed interest. That will be all the figures I have for sale however stay tuned as my co-author Mini may have some figures up for sale soon.

I honestly wasn’t expecting to be able to go to Japan again this soon, having been to Comiket last year. My original plan was to stick around until I found a new job, then get settled in and build up my leave allowance again until next August or so. Then things started to happen.
